Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G - Bronze SM-F916BZNAXNZ review
Of all the manufacturers to try and create a folding smartphone with one big tablet-sized screen inside, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the most complete package. It's a huge improvement on the first-generation device in terms of design, but issues remain with the flexible display market still being...- Big screen is a great platform for reading and games
- More split-screen room for multi-window multi-tasking
- Well-built hinge and more durable than first-gen
- Outer screen more useful this time around
- Versatile camera system
- Plastic screen film causes excessive smudging and feels 'sticky'
- Main screen isn't the most responsive
- Quite chunky in hand when folded
- Very expensive
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 review: Your new flexible friend
Of all the manufacturers to try and create a folding smartphone with one big tablet-sized screen inside, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the most complete package. It's a huge improvement on the first-generation device in terms of design, but issues remain with the flexible display market still being relatively young. Oh, and it's really expensive.- Big screen is a great platform for reading and games

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G - Bronze SM-F916BZNAXNZ review
Like the headline implies, Samsung has improved on this version of the Fold so much. The build quality of the chassis and hinge feel so much better than their first outing, the extension of the Cover Screen makes for a better overall experience with the device, and there are just so many use cases...
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G review review
- Great screens
- Solid hinge mechanism
- Plenty of power
- Visible crease
- Expensive
- Good, but not great cameras
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G - Black SM-F916BZKAXNZ review
At £1,799, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G doesn’t mark an end to foldables being prohibitively expensive, but it does mark an end to them feeling like awkward prototypes- Great screens
- Solid hinge mechanism
- Plenty of power
- Visible crease
- Expensive
- Good
- but not great cameras
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G review
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G is a glimmer of hope that foldable phones can be excellent. It isn’t the best camera phone around, nor does it charge the fastest - but who cares? It folds and doesn’t do anything badly. Everything the Z Fold 2 does, it does at least well. It’s reassuring (glorious-looking) design delights every time you look at it, and the masterful hinge makes the two-in-one functionality we’ve been craving a reality. A handsome front-display only adds to the utility and enjoyment the phone delivers. At £1,799 for the 256GB storage version, it doesn’t matter how good it is; the Galaxy Z Fold 2 won’t appeal to most people. Nevertheless, the annals of technology history will remember the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 as the first foldable that was great - all-fold, no caveats.- Great screens
- Solid hinge mechanism
- Plenty of power
- Visible crease
- Expensive
- Good, but not great cameras

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G - Black SM-F916BZKAXNZ review
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is without a doubt the best foldable smartphone on the market (not that there are too many options to choose from in the first place), taking full advantage of its hybrid form factor, but with no direct competitor worthy of the name, it's a pretty easy title to flaunt, if...- Optimized for one-handed operation
- Solid hinge
- Unfolded screen is sublime and almost bezel-less
- The much larger cover screen
- Intuitive multi-tasking ability
- The power of the Snapdragon 865+ chipset
- The price
- The ordinary camera module
- The average battery
- Flexible mode can be improved
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G - Bronze SM-F916BZNAXNZ review
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the first foldable to feel fully baked. At $1,999 / £1,799, you’re certainly paying for the privilege of owning one, but thanks to its eye-catching design and smart utility, there’s a lot to love about it. Unfortunately, there’s nothing pioneering about its cameras.- Most polished foldable available
- Very powerful
- Exquisite design
- Incredibly expensive
- Cameras good
- not great
- Thick when closed
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G - Bronze SM-F916BZNAXNZ review
The thing is, for the Rs 1,49,999 that you are paying for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G, you get an undoubtedly unique and undeniably premium smartphone experience. It learns from the predecessor and that truly shows. Yes, you may take some getting used to the form factor, as it folds and unfolds.
