The Galaxy S9 is a great evolution of the Galaxy S8 design. On the surface, it looks very similar to its predecessor, but under the hood, the improvements of the Camera system, the computing power, and the broadband communications quality are drastic and true next-generation features.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are here, official, unwrapped, and we go in full hands-on mode. We might be sending off another UNPACKED event preceded by weeks of overwhelming leaks, but we are surely heading towards a new chapter in the smartphone photography.

This is coupled with a new feature called Automatic Motion Detect, which allows users to capture an important event in slo-mo automatically, without having to wait around and manually snap. It works very well indeed.

Since the Galaxy S7, Samsung has been releasing exceptionally great flagships. Each year the company gets away with not releasing a revolutionary new Galaxy S device, but rather iterates upon what is already a fantastic device.

We've been among the first to get our hands on the new phone, released on the first day of Mobile World Congress (MWC) on Sunday, and here's our first impressions.

Samsung has done some pretty impressive upgrades on the Galaxy S9. It's got a slightly more compact in an almost identical design, a more practical placement of the fingerprint scanner and an inclusion of stereo speakers are all nice.
