Great Phone

This Samsung S9 phone might not be the latest and greatest, but it is still a great phone. Relatively compact, large bright screen, very good camera. I was stressing out over picking this phone as I wasn't sure how it would compare to my old S7 Edge, which I loved, but this phone is so much better.

Worth the money

I had not realised how out of date my old S5 was, better security, better battery life and so much more. Great camera, took close up of the back of my watch for infomation, instead of it being a problem because of the sun light it was as clear as a bell.

The best Galaxy yet

Samsung certainly increases the speed, without much trouble.
Pros:
  • Best all-round mobile phone with Android at present. Outstanding camera and fast hardware.
Cons:
  • Not the best battery. Facial recognition is slow and inaccurate.

Samsung Galaxy S9

The Galaxy S9 is a nice incremental upgrade, but its low-light camera isn't a game changer and some new features fall far behind the iPhone X. S8 owners can skip, but it's a good upgrade from older Androids.
Pros:
  • The Galaxy S9 once again proves Samsung's formula of a gorgeous 5.8-inch screen, sexy dual-curved design and terrific camera for well-lit shots can't go wrong
  • Whiplash-fast speeds, wireless charging and water-resistance complete the package
  • And it looks stunning in purple and blue
Cons:
  • Low-light photos often look blurry and lack the fine texture and contrast of competing phone cameras
  • The Galaxy S9's camera frequently, accidentally switches between modes
  • 3D avatar software is tragically bad and a new face-unlock tool is inherently insecure.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Smartphone Review

We prefer the Samsung Galaxy S9 over its larger sibling S9+. It is not as bulky and the dual-camera is not worth the additional price. The Korean manufacturer once again delivers a really great smartphone, but it is more of a facelift of last year's Galaxy S8 and there are still some bugs, and some...
Pros:
  • appealing design, great display, fast SoC, LTE Cat
  • 18, protected against water and dust, expandable storage, Dual-SIM SKU available (Duos, good sensor equipment, USB 3.1 with DP, HDMI, and OTG, great camera, wireless charging, Ultra HD videos at 60 FPS
Cons:
  • can overheat under load
  • videos at 60 FPS with a limited runtime
  • no Dual-VoLTE
  • long charging time
  • warranty excludes damages caused by liquids

Samsung Galaxy S9

The Galaxy S9 is both powerful and ergonomic, but there's no telling apart from the older Galaxy S8.
Pros:
  • Compact and ergonomic
  • Bright low-light photos
Cons:
  • Conservative performance
  • Poor battery

A little over a week ago, Samsung ushered in their new line of Galaxy S devices in the form of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus. The S range has long been the pinnacle of the Android OS ecosystem but saw their lead at the top slowly eroding in recent years until the S8 overturned any of the loses in...

Samsung Galaxy S9 review: Not perfect, but still a stellar phone

Samsung's Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus were announced in late February and went on sale in the middle of March. Since that time, ZDNet's Matthew Miller reviewed the bigger Galaxy S9 Plus, proclaiming the device is "Android perfection achieved."
Pros:
  • Fast
  • reliable performance
  • It has a headphone jack
  • Reliable camera
Cons:
  • Battery life
  • Super Slo-Mo is good
  • but not great

Samsung Galaxy S9 – Review

After my time with the S9 I have to admit there is a lot to like, and a few things that could use a little improvement here or there. From the front, this looks exactly like the older model the S8, and some people will not like the fact their expensive new smartphone looks the same as their friends...
