The Samsung S9+ is a solid upgrade on last year’s flagship. The package not just has a delicate yet premium design but also has saturated and immersive display, good stereo speakers, best in class processor, ample RAM and storage, impressive camera and a well-performing battery.
Samsung Galaxy S9 Review: Is the Android phone of the year already here?
Samsung has been the king of the Android phone market for some time now. But is this set to change in 2018 with the release of its latest flagship? Does the S9 have enough to beat the , and ?- Fantastic display
- Feels great
- Much improved speakers
- Average battery life
- Dual-sensor only on Plus model
- Some lag with Samsung's software
Despite being launched as a completely new generation, I'd say the Galaxy S9 itself is a transition model. It's more of an upgrade similar to the S-branded models in the iPhone family and which Samsung launched in order to buy more time until more substantial upgrades are ready. And this does make...
Samsung Galaxy S9 Review: Is It Still The #1 Android Phone?
Is the standard Galaxy S9 worth a look when the Plus does it so much better? Yes... But only in certain cases- Great design
- Fantastic screen
- Powerful internals
- Lacks the second camera of the S9 Plus
Samsung Galaxy S9
The Samsung Galaxy S9 sits alongside the S9+ as the latest flagship smartphones from Samsung. Both phones are notable in that they are the first smartphones to offer cameras with a variable aperture lens, that is one that you can control yourself.
Samsung Galaxy S9 review: Can you put a price on perfection
Just like the S8 before it, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is the best phone in the world, with lightning-fast performance, a stupendous camera and a lovely design. Unfortunately, it hasn't done enough to surpass its predecessor, which is still almost as impressive whilst being significantly cheaper.- The fastest Android phone we've ever seen
- Amazing low-light camera
- Slick features
- Doesn't do enough to better last year's Galaxy S8
Great color, great design
Better then I expected so far. Still learning all the features. Seems very easy to operate. Transferred all the information from my other phone easily.
If you're considering a move from iPhone, dont!
My review isnt fair as I'm sure an android user would think this phone is the bees knees. However I have always been an apple user and for many reasons thought it's time to try android. Ohhhhhhhh nooooooo. So hard! Settings for settings, then other settings in other apps.
Very good HW for this price point now. Have most functions I want and fit well for a medium-sized hand to handle everyday. 3 major caveats that I have seen after having had this phone for a year about: 1) The HW button on the left that is only used for Bixby.
- Very nice phone
- As a former flagship model, it's as fast as I would expect it to be
- I'm not wild about the gold colour, but it was the lowest price
- I also thought the battery life would be a bit better, but it's not too terrible
