Samsung S9 Plus review: the most powerful and elegant big phone in the world

Simply put, the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus is a bigger version of the Samsung Galaxy S9. (Check out our Samsung S9 review to find out more about the S9 Plus's smaller sibling.) And this comes without the S9 Plus being that much different to last year's Samsung Galaxy S8, either.
Pros:
  • Standout dual-lens camera system
  • Luxe 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display
  • Better-placed fingerprint sensor
Cons:
  • Similar to Galaxy S8 Plus
  • More expensive than S9

Samsung Galaxy S9+ review: If it ain't broke, don't fix it

The Samsung Galaxy S9+ is possibly the most fully-featured smartphone on the market. It offers out-of-the-box functionality that exceeds most other devices. It's one of the leaders of a new generation of hardware, pushing one of the nicest quality designs with one of the best displays around.
Pros:
  • New speakers are amazing
  • Great camera performance in low light
  • Great design and display
  • Out-of-the-box functionality surpasses rivals
  • 3.5mm headphone socket
Cons:
  • You might never find all the features
  • Display can crush shadows in movies
  • Camera could be better with HDR
  • Price

Samsung Galaxy S9+ review: the best big-screen smartphone by miles

Last year's Galaxy S8+ was slightly held back by a few annoying niggles, such as the awkward fingerprint sensor placement, all of which have been rectified in the Galaxy S9+. Samsung could certainly be accused of simply recycling last year's design, but it was really great in 2017 and is just as...
Pros:
  • 128GB + microSD card slot
  • wireless charging
  • IP68
  • fantastic screen
  • excellent camera
  • iris scanner + face recognition combo
  • great fingerprint scanner
  • notification LED
  • headphone socket
Cons:
  • battery life could be better
  • very similar to S8+ design
  • Bixby button can't be remapped

Samsung Galaxy S9+ review: The best Android flagship, best camera too

Samsung might not have gone for any big gimmicks, that is if you can forget and forgive, the AR emoji. But in the process, it has made the Galaxy S9+ a solid phone with top of the line processing, the best Android camera and the best iteration of almost every other feature that you want in a...

Much better than I expected.

After using a Pixel xl with stock Android I expected a lesser experience with the Samsung (my last one was an S6). The latest Samsung skin is actually pretty good and there is no compulsion to use Samsung apps so it can be set up pretty much as you like.

I'll quote my own words for this conclusion. The Samsung Galaxy S9 is nothing more than a transition model in anticipation of what hopefully can be a massive overhaul planned for 2019.

Update: Charge port broke after 6 months and stopped chargeing. Samsung quoted a fix for 450, way to much to fix something that should have been under warranty. Old Post :This Phone still does everything just has to wireless charge now. This phone is the perfect upgrade for me.
