It has been the uncrowned king of the Android smartphone kingdom – no phone has been more compared with Android's bête noire, the iPhone, for more than half a decade now. But recent times have seen Samsung's iconic Galaxy S series face an increasing number of challenges not just from Cupertino but...
- Great display and sound
- Very good cameras
- Excellent overall performance
- Samsung Experience UI remains cluttered
- Camera not "as great" as hyped
- On the expensive side
Samsung Galaxy S9+ Plus (256GB, Midnight Black) AU - Excellent review
Top-of-the-line smartphones like Samsung Galaxies may go through changes with each new generation, but one thing usually remains the same: The newest model tends to feature the best hardware to date. Yes, but only if you're in need of an upgrade.- Top-of-the-line camera, Long battery life, A breeze to use
- Some unnecessary bloatware, Useless virtual assistant
Samsung Galaxy S9+ SM-G965F Smartphone 64GB Midnight Black 2 year warranty
I have had this phone for about a month now and it has been absolutely awesome. The fingerprint scanner on the back seems to work really efficiently and I have not had any issues with software/app speed or user-friendliness.
Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus
Samsung's flagship smartphone was announced at Mobile World Congress, back in February 2018. Both the S9 and the S9 Plus were announced on the same day, with the S9 Plus being both bigger and having some additional features, particularly to the camera.Samsung Galaxy S9+ Plus (256GB, Midnight Black) AU - Excellent review
This will be a short summary. The Galaxy S9+ is the most fully-featured smartphone around today. And in terms of all-round performance, it is hard to beat. In my opinion, this is the best smartphone by a mile. That is it on my Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus review.
Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus Review: Binary Star | Recombu
The Galaxy S9+ might be the second-most (after the standard S9 ) iterative flagship Samsung's ever made, and yet it might be the most well-rounded flagship you can buy right now.- Great performance
- Excellent cameras
- Stunning display
Samsung Galaxy S9+ Review: Still The #1 Android Phone
A very capable flagship with lots to love, but the back-step in battery performance is disappointing. The camera is easily the best on the market by a country mile, as is the display, while CPU performance is also great - however, you do pay quite a lot for all this- Excellent display
- Top-tier processor performance
- Superb best-in-class camera
- Attractive design
- Waterproofing
- Battery life has taken a hit
- Expensive
- UI foibles
Samsung Galaxy S9+ Review (Review Samsung Galaxy S9+)
It's not revolutionary, but the Samsung Galaxy S9+ sets the bar for smartphones in 2018, with the best hardware features you can get.- Gorgeous screen., Beautiful body., Spectacular network performance., Dual main cameras with excellent low-light capture., Loud audio.
- Camera software oversharpens images., AR Emoji and Bixby disappoint.
Gorgeous
Upgraded from an S7 and was definitely worth it.I was a bit annoyed with the grey as i usually get black phones but this colour looks great. The fingerprint reader location is perfect. The only minor downside is the bixby button. Did they really need a physical button for this
Overall a great phone
This is the first time I have ever used a top of the range smart phone after using a Samsung Galaxy A3 16 for 2 years. Battery life out of all the features had been the most impressive part about this phone for me, continuous us using Spotify or similar apps for over 9 hours.
