Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition - Navy SM-G780FZBDXNZ review
The Galaxy S20 FE is much more than a Fan Edition, it’s the phone that Samsung needed for 2020. The prices of the flagship phones has grown out of control, combine that with a worldwide pandemic, and it was clear something needed to be done.

Currently, Samsung just offers the Exynos 990, LTE variant here in the Philippines which is priced at PHP 35,990. If you want the 5G version, you’ll have to source the Snapdragon variant, which is not easy to get since Samsung is yet to offer it here.Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition - Navy SM-G780FZBDXNZ review
The Galaxy S20 FE is Samsung’s big bet in the affordable flagship smartphone segment. It takes on the new OnePlus and Xiaomi phones at a competitive price of Rs 49,999. The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition) is the budget-conscious option in Samsung’s latest S20 smartphone line. It features a large 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 2.73 GHz octa-core processor.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE review: The phone to beat for under $700
There’s no getting around it — phones are getting really expensive. But as flagship devices get increasingly pricey, a whole new segment of the market has popped up: The premium midrange. That’s exactly where the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition lives, and if you’re looking for a premium Samsung experience without paying an arm and a leg, it’s one of the best Android phones. The name “Fan Edition” doesn’t really describe what the phone really is. A better name would be the Galaxy S20 Lite. You’re not really getting everything that the Galaxy S20 has to offer. But you’re getting all the important stuff, with a few added bonus features along the way, with an enticing price cut. It’s clear that the Galaxy S20 FE is a derivative of the original Galaxy S20 — it looks just like the standard device. But it’s also made from slightly different materials. Gone is the glass back, in favor of the plastic back found on the standard Galaxy Note 20. But while in theory it’s not as premium, I actually k...- Colorful design
- Awesome display with 120Hz refresh rate

Having recently told you about a Samsung Tablet that could make and receive calls here something a little smaller that can be held to your ear without attracting attention as it is more normal in size for a SmartPhone, the SamsungGalaxyS20 FE 5G.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition - Navy SM-G780FZBDXNZ review
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE undercuts the S20 on price but with similar specifications, where are the cutbacks?- Better price than S20
- Better battery life than S20
- Better performance than S20 (on 5G version)
- Plastic design
- Lower resolution screen
- Not quite the best value
Battery gets hot and doesn't last the day
I like the Samsungs, but found the battery got really hot the first day (probably as I was adding everything) and it doesn't last all day which is not ideal for a new phone
Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition - Navy SM-G780FZBDXNZ review
The Galaxy S20 FE delivers a fantastic 120Hz display, excellent cameras and solid performance for a very reasonable price. While the competition is heating up for flagship phones that cost less than $700, the Galaxy S20 FE remains be tough to beat.- Big 120Hz display, Available in six colors, Powerful triple-camera system, Solid performance, Affordable price
- Fast charger costs extra, Optical fingerprint can be finicky, Battery life bit shorter than expected
