Samsung Galaxy Note 2
It hasn't even been a year since the original Samsung Galaxy Note launched. It was a work of genius for old Samsung. Many (including us, we admit) were not convinced. Who on earth would want something so big to make their calls and surf the internet, even with a glorified stylus?
Pros:
- Enormous battery
- Expandable memory
- Amazing screen
- LTE capable
- Blazingly fast
Cons:
- Expensive
- S-Pen is still complicated
- Slow camera shutter
- Size may be a barrier

Can over 10 million people be wrong? That's how many Galaxy Note smartphones Samsung has sold worldwide since its release last year. The company is looking to build on that huge success with the latest iteration of this polarising device, the Galaxy Note II.
Pros:
- Outstanding performance
- Improved S Pen capabilities
- Excellent battery life (3G-only model
Cons:
- Not enough S Pen apps
- Some annoying TouchWIZ issues

Pros:
- + Huge
- brilliant display + Â Powerful custom multitasking + Â Good battery life + Â S Pen useful in various scenarios + Â Android Jelly Bean with TouchWiz Nature UX + Â Excellent camera
Cons:
- - Â Casing material slick and prone to scratches - Â S Pen less useful than it could be - Â Too large and heavy for some users - Â UI lag is slight
- but shouldn't exist on such powerful hardware

Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Samsung's giant phone is back and better than ever. More style, more stylus.
Pros:
- S Pen stylus feels accurate and comfortable
- Fast processor and loads of RAM
- Great screen
Cons:
- Will be too large for some
- A bit plasticky

For a pound less than a 16GB iPhone 5 with its piddly 4in screen, terrible maps app, dodgy Wi-Fi reception and scratch-prone body , the Galaxy Note 2 is something of a bargain if you are after the ultimate mobile phone.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 review
When you get the Note 2 out of its box, your first reaction will be to its enormous size. Some will find it absurd, but those who want a big screen with loads of beautiful detail, a much better battery and some cool pen features will "get" it within 10 minutes of holding it for the first time.
Pros:

- pen is great
- loads and loads of power
- great battery life
Cons:
- Handwriting recognition needs some work
- it's expensive
