Samsung Galaxy Note II Review

The Samsung Galaxy Note II is big. Colossally big. Comically big. Write down any adjective you can think of to modify how to describe something large and it will most likely fit the description of the Galaxy Note II.
Pros:
  • Excellent camera and unique software capabilities because of S Pen and 5.5-inch screen
Cons:
  • Large size may be too much for many users to overcome

Faster, stronger, better looking, and more functional. It's better connected than ever, and thanks to that increased screen size.
Pros:
  • Enormous battery
  • Expandable memory
  • Amazing screen
  • LTE capable
  • Blazingly fast
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
Cons:
  • Expensive
  • S-Pen is still complicated
  • Slow camera shutter
  • Size may be a barrier

Search comes to an end

I have a smartphone from Blackberry/Nokia/Apple/Samsung/HTC and have always been dissatisfied with one thing or another. After waiting (with eventual disappointment) for the iphone 5 launch, I finally decided to go for Note 2.

Samsung Galaxy Note II (GT-N7100) Review

This is a big one! Quite literally as it turns out as Samsung continues to push the limits of what we consider an acceptable size for a smartphone. The Note II or GT-N7100 polishes off most of the shortcomings of the Note N7000 along with a little flavour from the Galaxy S III and a sprinkle of...

So many people are confused right now with a seemingly never ending choice of phones on the market. I understand. In fact, we at Ausdroid go through the same difficulty ourselves in trying to choose our next smartphone. What we're looking at here is the biggest phone you can buy.
Pros:
  • Big display means larger
  • more legible content
  • Huge battery means about 2 days medium usage
  • Fastest
  • smoothest Android experience to date
  • Handwriting recognition is surprisingly good
  • Slimmer
  • narrower design than original Note
Cons:
  • A couple of TouchWiz niggles
  • Too big for small hands
  • Learning curve for S-Pen apps
  • Auto Brightness is still inconsistent

I have a Note I and it is amazing. Only thing I find annoying is that for such a big screen and resolution (Note I and Note II have the same amount of pixels), it just lacks a bit of punch, especially at 3D apps, as its a Dual core @ 1.4Ghz against this Quad core at 1.6Ghz.
Pros:
  • The power under the hood
  • Screen.
Cons:
  • The looks..
  • SG3 and Note II just look a bit feminine to me
  • Rather have Black colours and less rounded edges

Best Phone out there!

I love my phone. It is very handy in that I don't really use my laptop unless I just have to. This "mini-tablet" does it all and I like the convenience of it. The screen has amazing clarity and the colors just jump off the screen.

Samsung can take credit for creating the Phablet category with its extremely popular Galaxy Note. And although the 10.1 version of the device did not exactly rock the market, the Note 2 has much more going for it, with better specs and more features. There is a new king in phablet town!
