Samsung Galaxy A51 6GB 128GB

Samsung is a leading brand when it comes to offering exceptional value in the mid-range smartphone market, and the Galaxy A51 shows why. Packed with premium features, it's brilliant value for money.

Widescreen display

The minimal bezels on the A51 emphasises the widescreen viewing experience on the 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display.

Four winning rear cameras

The quad camera set up on the back lives up to Samsung's reputation for outstanding photographic capability. The set up consists of an ultra high-resolution 48MP main camera, a 123° 12MP Ultra-Wide-Camera for superb panoramic shots, an upgraded 5MP Macro camera for even better close-ups, and the 5MP Depth camera features multiple Live Focus effects.

Make it all about you

And when it's time to make it all about you, the 32MP selfie camera will give you vivid and high-resolution images. The Selfie focus feature instantly blurs out the background to make you front and centre of the shot.

Super-Steady Videos

Another top feature in the A51 is its video-taking ability. You can capture smooth and steady live videos thanks to the powerful software and Samsung's world-class Ultra-Wide Camera.

Loads of storage

The Galaxy A51 doesn't shirk its responsibilities in the storage department. It has a capacity of up to 128GB (expandable up to 512GB) and 6GB RAM for storing apps, software, videos, and more.

Long lasting, fast charging

The battery performance is exceptional with the Samsung A51’s 4,000mAh battery that can last throughout the day. Plus, there's fast charging when that function is eventually called for.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Black - Spark SM-A515FZKWTNZ review

The Samsung Galaxy A51 offers a nice design and attractive OLED display, but it’s hamstrung by middling performance, cameras that underperform in low light and relatively short battery life. On paper, the Samsung Galaxy A51 would seem like the best cheap phone $400 can get you.

Excellent display, Sleek design, Versatile quad-lens camera, Low price, 128GB of storage

Underwhelming performance, Camera struggles in low light, Battery life could be better, Fingerprint sensor occasionally frustrates

Samsung Galaxy A51 Black Smartphone SM-A515FZKWVNZ review

The Galaxy A51 improves on certain aspects that were required, such as a better camera, improved display and better battery life. Although, at the price of Rs 23,999, it feels slightly overpriced for the kind of feature and performance it offers.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Black Smartphone SM-A515FZKWVNZ review

Samsung’s Galaxy A51 5G sits near the top of the company’s mid-range A series. It’s slightly smaller and cheaper than the A71 5G , which we reviewed recently. It has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display and is built around Samsung’s Exynos 980 chipset, with 6 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage plus a...

Generally accurate exposure; Wide dynamic range in stills; Wide maximum field of view; Accurate video white balance; Nicely rendered skin tones in video

Samsung Galaxy A51 Black Smartphone SM-A515FZKWVNZ review

After being extremely impressed with newer mid-range phones from Google and Apple, we decided to check out the competition. The Galaxy A51 is Samsung’s answer to mid-range models like the iPhone SE and Pixel 3a . And it’s … well, it’s an extremely “Samsung” phone, if that makes any sense.

Beautiful screen and body; Big; expandable storage; Can be found on sale easily

Bloated software; Terrible fingerprint reader; Not enough RAM; Tons of unnecessary apps

Samsung Galaxy A51 Black - Spark SM-A515FZKWTNZ review

Sluggish performance and average cameras mire an otherwise fine Android phone.

Decent battery life. Cameras snap decent photos in good lighting. There's a headphone jack! It looks modern, has NFC for contactless payments, and includes a Micro SD card slot for extra storage. Plastic back design is more durable. Three years of Android updates.

Performance can drag. The cameras lag behind peers. Overpriced.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Black Smartphone SM-A515FZKWVNZ review

At $400, Samsung's Galaxy A51 has a gorgeous display, good cameras, and a battery that will easily get you through the day, but it can use a boost in the processor department.

Excellent display; Solid cameras; Good battery life

Underwhelming performance; Not waterproof; Fingerprint sensor doesn’t work well
