Samsung Galaxy A51 Black Smartphone SM-A515FZKWVNZ review

Samsung’s Galaxy A51 packs a great screen, a handful of cameras, and a big battery -- what more could you ask from a mid-range smartphone? Well, more consistent performance, for one.

Excellent design; Big and beautiful AMOLED screen; Flexible multi-camera system

Laggy performance; Camera quality is largely unremarkable; Mediocre battery life

Samsung Galaxy A51 review

While the likes of Huawei’s Nova 5T and the Oppo Reno 2Z provide a better all-round experience for roughly the same cost, Samsung has still crafted a very respectable mid-range mobile in the Galaxy A51. You get a similar software experience to those pricey flagships and impressive media creds, without completely draining your savings.

Gorgeous, punchy AMOLED screen; Snazzy design; Full One UI 2.0 experience;

Stuttery at times; Average battery life; Photo results mixed;

Samsung Galaxy A51 Review

The Samsung Galaxy A51 is a good, solid mid-range effort. There are no major flaws, but the processor and battery weren't quite as good as we'd been expecting.

Attractive design; Good screen; Impressive, versatile camera;

Battery life could be much better;

Samsung Galaxy A51 review

The A51 proves Samsung can make solid mid-range phones. Its flagship-esque design and solid cameras provide the foundations for an excellent handset, while One UI provides an excellent user experience. However, performance is less than impressive, while the poor in-display fingerprint scanner is a big letdown. Samsung fans can look beyond these shortcomings, but at this price point the A51 is hard to recommend.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Smartphone Review – Dedicated to success

An exemplary mid-range phone. The Samsung Galaxy A51 is the successor of one of the most successful smartphones of 2019. Naturally, therefore, our expectations are high - but competition never sleeps. Find out whether the Galaxy smartphone with its total of five cameras can stand its ground in our review.

Samsung's Galaxy A51 is another mid-range device that has hardly any real weaknesses. Its cameras ar...

slim, fancy case; flexible camera of good quality; a lot of LTE frequencies; dedicated microSD slot; 60-fps gaming in some games; color-accurate and bright screen; hardly any heat development;

performance average for this price range; battery life could be longer; no continuous zoom; browsing is on the slow side;

Galaxy A51 review: Samsung beats the iPhone SE in these important ways

How good can a $400 phone really be? When the device in question is the Samsung Galaxy A51, the answer is simple: very good. As the first real representative of the Galaxy A family in the US, the A51 is a convincing effort that proves Samsung can make a good midprice phone that's worth buying. In fact, Samsung's budget phone (£329 in the UK and AU$599 in Australia) even bests the iPhone SE (which starts at $399, £419 and AU$749), in some specific, and significant, ways. When it comes to screen size and clarity, phone features, camera quality and performance, the Galaxy A51 delivers where it counts, with one exception.

It's the perfect iPhone SE rival in every way but one.

6.5-inch screen is detailed and bright; Wide-angle camera option; Headphone jack;

Processor speed drags; No water resistance;

Samsung Galaxy A51 Review

2020 might just go down in history as the year of the midrange smartphone. Apple's new $399 iPhone SE is our highest-rated non-flagship model in some time, and we're expecting about a dozen or so more similarly priced offerings to hit US carriers this year. First up is the $399.99 Samsung Galaxy A51. It offers plenty of value for its price in the form of a handsome design, long battery life, good camera quality, and a gorgeous display. But it's no competitor to the iPhone SE in the power department.Design, Display, and Durability Put simply, the Galaxy A51 looks good. It measures 6.24 by 2.90 by 0.31 inches (HWD) and comes in at 6.06 ounces. It’s light and just narrow enough to hold and use in one hand without any big issues. In the US it’s available in black with an attractive prismatic finish. In other parts of the world there are blue and white options available as well. The front of phone is dominated by a near bezel-less 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a...

At $400, Samsung's Galaxy A51 has a gorgeous display, good cameras, and a battery that will easily get you through the day, but it can use a boost in the processor department.

Excellent display; Solid cameras; Good battery life

Underwhelming performance; Not waterproof; Fingerprint sensor doesn’t work well

Absolutely amazing

Compared to my 2017 galaxy a5 phone, this phone is amazing with features I never thought would be on the a51. Overall a great product. The sellers do not know that it comes with a case and protective screen cover already on it though
