Samsung Galaxy A50 Black Smartphone SM-A505GZKNNZC review

Though not water repellant like the Moto G7, the Galaxy A50 is worth the extra $50 for its superior camera and enduring battery.
Pros:
  • The Samsung Galaxy A50 has a solid camera
  • an in-screen fingerprint reader
  • a headphone jack and a long-lasting battery -- all at an affordable price.
Cons:
  • The phone can be buggy at times
  • its maximum video resolution is only 1080p and the speaker quality is tinny.

Samsung Galaxy A50 Review

The Samsung Galaxy A50 offers a handsome design and decent midrange specs, but it's not quite enough to compete with the Google Pixel 3a. The Galaxy A50 is one of Samsung's first A-series phones to hit the US. At a decidedly midrange $349, it offers a flagship-level design, a beautiful AMOLED display, and a battery that will easily get you through the day. But with just-average performance, a lackluster speaker, a poor fingerprint sensor, and no guarantee of software updates, the Galaxy A50 simply doesn't offer the same value proposition as the $399 Google Pixel 3a. Design, Display, and Durability The A50 looks every bit the flagship. It's thin, sleek, and sports an edge-to-edge display that's uncommon to find on phones in this price range. With the exception of a small teardrop notch for the selfie cam, there's almost no bezel—another rarity for the price. It measures 6.24 by 2.94 by 0.30 inches (HWD) and weighs 5.86 ounces. Flip the A50 over and you'll find a glossy plastic back in an almost iridescent black. A vertically aligned triple camera stack is at the top left, and there's a monochromatic Samsung logo ...
Pros:
  • Attractive design
  • Gorgeous AMOLED display
  • Solid battery life
Cons:
  • Average performance
  • Mediocre speaker
  • Poor fingerprint sensor

Samsung Galaxy A50 Review – A Smartly Made Mid-Range Flagship

Samsung recently allowed us the opportunity to review its Galaxy A50 and this may just be a perfect device if you're looking for a great mid-range device that doesn't break the bank.
Pros:
  • Flagship Samsung software-experience across the board
  • Samsung OneUI is among the best Android skins
  • Dark/Night Mode
  • Comfortable in-hand feel
  • AMOLED 2K display
  • Great battery life
  • 15W fast charging
  • Responsive screen and apps
  • Top-tier performance
  • Rock solid connections/calling
  • 3.5mm headphone...
Cons:
  • No IP rating for water and dust protection
  • Display is not well made for direct bright sunlight
  • Rear panel design is more akin to a budget device than a flagship
  • "Glasstic" back panel probably isn't durable
  • Built-in speakers are tinny
  • Audio enhancements on 3.5mm jack don't match the flagship...

VERY poor camera quality

The most important quality in a phone is the pictures. The picture looks blurry all the time. I regret buying this phone. I am extremely not satisfied. The whole Aline in Samsung, Ex: A8, A50, A70 is not good. The quality is cheap. I barely get reception. I had them all because they were cheap.

Great phone

I bought this as a replacement for an ageing iphone. I'm so glad I did. Moving contacts and so on over was pain free. I have never used Android before and that's been easy too. The phone itself is terrific. It has a screen that is clear and bright. It has face unlock and that works well.

Good Mid-Range Device

Overall the phone performs well. It's not a flagship by any means, but it has most if not all mainstream features. The Exynos 9610 blows the doors off of the SD630/636 found in many other mid-range phones.
Pros:
  • OLED Screen
  • Comparatively fast chip set
  • USB C
  • Samsung ROM and Support
  • Storage Capacity
Cons:
  • Camera and multimedia tools are mediocre
