I own a number of SSDs. I have many brands with different controllers and different flash (always syncronous NAND though) and Samsung is what I just always seem to return to. The triple-core Samsung controller and the Samsung triple cell flash perform amazingly.

It is like a whole new computer!!! I actually purchased 2 more of these for my other computers. The cloning software was easy to use no issues. The computers are so much more responsive. All had I5 processors but took forever to start and wake up. That is no longer a problem.

I have been looking for a SSD drive for a while but any drive over 128GB was just overpriced. Until I found the Samsung SSD 840 EVO 2.5-inch SATA 500GB, and what a value and an excellent product.

Very speedy drive from one of the best SSD manufacturers on the market. I was impressed by it so much that I decided to get another to make a Raid 0 set up on my PC. Not regretting that decision at all.

It works. I had problems cloning my old drive due to bad sectors. I bought the software Spinrite V6.0 to fix my old drive, and was able clone it afterwards.

Good value but you need a clone program and a USB to SATA connector. Both are available on ebay. A very easy operation depending on your notebook. ASUS is fine. You will not get really high speeds with USB2 but the whole system is much faster.

The disk itself is a solid product. I got it as a replacement for a failing laptop hard drive. However the experience with the upgrade kit was less so. The failing hard drive had a bad sector.
