I own a number of SSDs. I have many brands with different controllers and different flash (always syncronous NAND though) and Samsung is what I just always seem to return to. The triple-core Samsung controller and the Samsung triple cell flash perform amazingly.

Good value but you need a clone program and a USB to SATA connector. Both are available on ebay. A very easy operation depending on your notebook. ASUS is fine. You will not get really high speeds with USB2 but the whole system is much faster.

Replaced existing 500G platter drive in 4-year-old laptop. The old drive was starting to exhibit signs of potential problems, so I took the SSD plunge. Cloning existing drive was dead-simple. Install the app, and follow directions.

I've purchased a few of these for other people, and use one as my main drive in my gaming PC. It replaced an older 240gb Mushkin Chronos Deluxe. Honestly - not a noticeable difference in speed at all, but nonetheless I am happy with this drive and will continue to recommend it to others.

I was very disapointed when I received that drive without the PC mounting bracket and the sata data cable and the sata to usb cable mentioned in the documentation. At the Future Shop store (at Le Corbusier, Laval, Qc, Canada) I was not able to get any help.

I purchased based on the recommendation of the sales person and what I read online. The software installation CD had zero (none, nada, zilch) support for OSX. I had to use disk utility to format the drive, then use Carbon Copy Cloner to copy my hard drive to the new disk.
