If you own PS VR this is the game to get.

RIGS is one of the first if not the first FPS on PS VR and it sets the bar sky high. Not only that, but in my opinion it is the best PS VR title available at this time and one of a very few that offer a long lasting experience which remains fun playing over time rather than a fun experience that you...

Not for me.

I really hate the controls. The way it's made, makes me sick everytime I play.

Ever since 1987 Arnie hit The Running Man, I've had an appreciation for brightly coloured future-sports. RIGS: Mechanized Combat League, a game that's half team-sports and half first person shooter, scratches that itch. That it's ended up exclusive to the PlayStation VR is no surprise.

Rigs: Mechanized Combat League Review

brings fast, intense multiplayer action to the PlayStation VR, but with a few notable caveats. While there was enough variety in the mechs to keep me playing through a full season of matches, the sub-par visuals distract, and big matchmaking issues made online wait times unbearable.

RIGS: Mechanized Combat League review – VR sports shooter

Sony's big budget first person shooter for PlayStation VR creates a future sports world with giant robots and online multiplayer.

The future sports setting is well fleshed out, with plenty of rig options and some fairly involved gameplay mechanics; Solid arena design and online multiplayer

Nausea is still going to be at least a minor issue for most people; The limited number of modes and arenas gets old a little too quickly; Clinical presentation can be a bore

Not For The Weak Of Stomach

Rigs has been a center point of PlayStation VR's lineup of games and its marketing for a few reasons: It's a PlayStation VR exclusive, developer Guerrilla Cambridge has ties to the creators of Killzone and Horizon Zero Dawn, and it represents an online multiplayer experience that would feel...

RIGS Mechanized Combat League (PSVR) Review

With a great range of mechs and intense pick-up-and-play action, RIGS goes to show that PlayStation VR could be great for shooters. The lack of game modes makes it rather light on content, but overall it's a blast.

There is a lot riding on this game by UK developers Guerrilla Cambridge. Amidst all the tech demos and interesting, but short lived experiences, RIGS: Mechanized Combat League is what a lot of early adopters of Playstation VR could term a "proper game".

Game Review: RIGS Mechanized Combat League

Have you ever looked at a sports arena, breathed a breath of disappointment and thought " what if? " What if this arena was specifically designed to house epic sporting events featuring robots piloted by humans competing for supremacy?

Looks nice; Easy to pick up; Lots to unlock; Nice variety of game modes; Fun in single player and online

Finding a fully populated online match takes time; May cause motion sickness for some; A lot to learn

RIGS Mechanized Combat League

If Rocket League and Titanfall had a baby, it'd be called RIGS Mechanized Combat League . Guerrilla Cambridge's latest offering is a PlayStation VR exclusive, and in our opinion it's probably the best launch title out now for the virtual reality headset; but that doesn't mean you should go running...
