There is a lot riding on this game by UK developers Guerrilla Cambridge. Amidst all the tech demos and interesting, but short lived experiences, RIGS: Mechanized Combat League is what a lot of early adopters of Playstation VR could term a "proper game".

With a great range of mechs and intense pick-up-and-play action, RIGS goes to show that PlayStation VR could be great for shooters. The lack of game modes makes it rather light on content, but overall it's a blast.

RIGS: Mechanized Combat League is a fast-paced mech-based shooter for PSVR. It has turned fighting mechs into a sport and contains a solid single-player, as well as an amazing online mode that really puts your skills to the test.

brings fast, intense multiplayer action to the PlayStation VR, but with a few notable caveats. While there was enough variety in the mechs to keep me playing through a full season of matches, the sub-par visuals distract, and big matchmaking issues made online wait times unbearable.

RIGS: Mechanized Combat League is part of the launch lineup for the much-hyped PlayStation VR . After hammering the opposition 6-1 in the third match of RIGS' career mode, I was worried the game's single-player mode would be like Rocket League ‘s overly easy offering.
