Razer Mamba Gaming Mouse

Razer are well known for their accomplished range of gaming peripherals. However they have yet to set foot into the wireless market until recently. This is likely down to views of many hardcore gamers on wireless technology.

Very attractive; Sleek curves that fit in the palm of your hand; Great battery life; Wired and wireless connections; Excellent tracking; Docking station; Conveniently placed DPI buttons; Smooth scroll wheel

Hefty price tag

Razer Mamba Wireless Mouse RZ01-02710100-R3M1 review

Even semicompetitive PC gamers can get away with a less expensive mouse, but for the most dedicated, the Razer Mamba provides unmatched precision whether it's connected directly to your PC or set free in wireless mode.

Wired and wireless usage modes; high polling rate ensures seamless wireless connection, even at high resolutions; onboard memory lets you take your profiles and macros on the road.

Most expensive gaming mouse; no on-the-fly macro recording; clunky USB cable a hassle to plug into the mouse.

Bottom Line: If you've got the cash to splash I would fully recommend the Razer Mamba. However, for the lot of us with not-so-deep pockets, there are many other good alternatives.

Razer Mamba Review

Wireless, but gives the same performance as wired. Cool charging dock solution and has a reasonable battery life

Razer delivers on the performance and it is pleasing to feel the response time wirelessly with absolutely no lag. Being on the cutting edge, however, does come at a price of a $130.

Excellent tracking and superb surface calibration; Sensitivity may be configured in specific stages (1-5); No lag on wireless operation; Pleasing form factor and well weighted

Somewhat short battery life for a gaming mouse; Driver issues with system coming out of sleep mode

Razer Mamba Wireless Mouse RZ01-02710100-R3M1 review

While the Razer Mamba is not going to be perfect for all people and all scenarios, overall it is a very good mouse. The combination of years of research and refinement by Razer’s engineers really has created one very comfortable mouse.

Review: Razer Mamba

It's back to the drawing board for Razer.

Virtually lag-free wireless interface; Great balance between ergonomics and agility; Freedom to choose between wired and wireless modes; Can use the mouse while charging; Custom lighting effects; Great UI

Expensive; Suffers from jitter; DPI-scaling kills accuracy; Dual-sensors don't improve tracking; Surface calibration is useless; Picky about surfaces; Variable cut-off distance doesn't work; Power hungry; Long charging time; Settings take aeons to apply

Good wireless gaming mouse

Expensive but the hybrid wired/wireless mouse delivers. Can be a little slow to wake up in wireless mode but is packed with features and is rechargeable. The charging platform takes some practice to get the mouse in the right place.

Razer Mamba 4G 2012 edition review

The Mamba is Razer's most expensive gaming mouse. At £95, it will set you back a significant chunk of change, but its wireless abilities might make it worth the investment.
