Been using this keyboard for several months now and I am in love with it for all types of gaming. Took me a bit of time to get used to mechanical but now I can never go back. I'm definitely no Razer fanboy but I can definitely stand up for 2 of the 3 products I've purchased from them.

All keys are mechanical and programmable. The ability to control features on other Razer products is great. The construction feels heavy and very solid. The keys are individually lit. Zero ghosting issues! I haven't run into any macro limitations. This thing looks amazing.

I got the Razer Black Widow Ultimate Keyboard this past Christmas. It has helped me in multiple ways. To start the Cherry Blue switches are amazing! It has improved my typing speed and the mechanical keys take almost no force to press down.

If you are in the market for a new keyboard then there are literally thousands available today which use membrane technology – but this won't be the first choice for the discerning enthusiast user as they can often feel ‘spongy' when typing.  Where we really see a step up in performance is when

Paying a premium for a keyboard is rare most of the time when you are assembling a PC , but once in a while a keyboard with the distinctive clickety-click sound comes along and is almost as expensive as a decent graphic card .

It's a mechanical keyboard with green backlighting. Very much a personal opinion, but this keyboard has Cherry MX Blue switches, which are the loudest possible switch for a mechanical keyboard. I type over 80 WPM, possibly upwards of 100 on a mechanical board.
