Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Review

It isn't a cheap headset, but the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro offers a number of premium features alongside excellent build quality for the price. For consumers with a love for competitive gaming, or those looking for a supreme level of audio quality for further immersion, the Razer BlackShark V2 is a worthwhile proposition.

Solid and reliable build quality ; Excellent audio quality and noise cancellation ; Microphone is clear and great for competitive gamers ; ;

Expensive compared to the base model ; Plastic parts of the design lack premium feel ;

Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Review

We were greatly impressed by the Razer BlackShark V2. The $100 wired gaming headset offered a comfortable fit, excellent sound quality, a fantastic mic, and accurate simulated surround sound. Razer now offers a wireless version in the BlackShark V2 Pro. It looks, feels, and sounds just as good as, if not a little better than, the wired BlackShark V2, just without the cables. However, at $179.99, it’s nearly twice as expensive as the BlackShark V2, and faces some stiff competition. Design The Blackshark V2 Pro looks and feels almost exactly like the Editors' Choice award-winning Blackshark V2, just without the wire. It has the same oblong matte black plastic earcups connected to the headband through Y-shaped struts made of stiff wire, with cylindrical mounts that let each cup slide freely up and down to adjust the fit. It has the same memory foam earpads wrapped in breathable fabric, and similarly memory-foam-covered padding on the underside of the headband with faux leather on the...

The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro takes the BlackShark V2's excellent performance and makes it wireless, for a hefty premium.

Powerful sound; Excellent microphone; Comfortable fit; THX Spatial Audio works well

Higher frequencies could be a bit more crisp; Nearly twice as expensive as the wired version of the headset

An audiophiles PC headset

Without a doubt the best headset I've purchased for my computer. Had a logitech g933 previously that sounds like trash compared to this. Honestly I'm hard pressed to tell the difference between this and my Sony xm4s sound wise. Can't fault anything other than not having a microphone mute light to show when muted or not. Comfort A+ Audio quality A+ Range A Battery A Designed for PC use. Don't sound as great when unpowered using 3.5mm cable with a phone for example

Awesome sound, highly underrated

Pretty stoked I chose these. I'll say what the drawbacks are off the bat and thats that if it annoys you adjusting the EQ & settings through the Razer app on PC and having to charge with Micro USB then these might not be for you. But.. On the flipside they sound fantastic when adjusted and have good range, phenomenal sound actually. The battery is really good too, always seem to get over 20 hours so I dont need to charge often. It doesn't matter if Im using them on PC, PS4, PS5 or Switch, its as easy as just taking the dongle out and plugging it into USB. Top notch headset for someone with multiple devices and even better if you like to remove the mic & like a sleek black look

Great sound quality and mic, bad quality control

This headset is great when it comes to comfort, battery life, audio quality and mic quality. But after using it for a few months ive noticed that there is something wrong with the left ear cup and speaker. The power button is super loose and you can hear it rattle around when you move your head, the left speaker is starting to crackle when hit with certain frequency and sound (usually voices). And it seems like something might loose in the left side as well because if i have the no sound coming through or very little and i move my head, it sounds like something is lightly rattling inside. Considering the price of these, id say its not a great deal with this issues just a few months in.

Amazing Wireless Headset with great promise!

After my dog chewed my old PS4 earpiece, and making the shoft to WFH, I've been looking for a new headset that would work for both gaming, work meetings, and general purposes for console and PC. After a couple of months of research, I'd settled on a couple of products, with the BlackShark V2 coming out on top. The sound quality is amazing out of the box, but when connected to PC, using the razer synapse, you can really dial into the sound quality that works best for you. The mic is pretty obtrusive, but is extremely flexible yet sturdy, plus is removable! Works best with PC connected using the wireless dongle to make the most out of mic/speaker adjustments through Razer synapse, however, the profiles aren't saved to the headset onboard memory, only on the PC. Wireless works seamlessly with PS4 AND Nintendo Switch, but only works with XBOX ONE via the 3.5mm cable (which is included, and durable/flexible, one end straight plug, one end right angle plug). Mic sounds great th

Worth the money!

This headset has amazing sound and so many features to edit the sound quality and even mic quality. I needed a new headset of my desktop and the wireless feature is a blessing. You can wear this headset for hours and have no discomfort at all. I would 100% recommend this headset if you're looking for something for multi-purpose.

Razer Blackshark V2 Pro (2023) review: talks the talk review

Punchy, energetic audio that’s great for gaming; Fantastic microphone quality over 2.4GHz; Improved ergonomics and build quality;

Ditching the 3.5mm port means no Xbox gaming; Pricey;

Razer BlackShark V2 Pro review: One of the best gaming headsets gets even better

The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro aims for function over form in almost every capacity, from its gaming-focused sound profiles to its new high-quality microphone to its lightweight yet long-lasting design. But the headset also adds some creature comforts in the form of a Bluetooth connection, which makes it compatible with everything from the PlayStation 5 to a 10-year-old iPhone. It’s an impressive update to an already-good design, and though it’s by no means cheap, it’s a solid value compared to similar models from the competition.

The BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) is Razer’s most focused and most pricey e-sports headset, but its much-improved microphone, battery life, and dedicated EQ profiles make it worth consideration.

Comfortable; Long battery life; Pre-loaded EQ profiles; Great microphone;

No notches on volume wheel; Aggressive battery saving;
