The Return of the King PES 2015

With this installment of the once great PES Konami have managed to rework their magic to create a Pro evo that combines the classic pes feel and gameplay, crisp, sharp, and thought provoking, with up to date graphics and some great new features online and off to really challenge FIFA in what was...

great game modes; Realistic Gameplay; rather nostalgic

still lack of licensing; presentation in loading could be better

Launching the counter-attack.

It's the same question every year: which is better, PES or FIFA? For the last five years, or thereabouts, the answer has been near-unanimously FIFA, with its greater depth and sophistication trumping the comparatively shallow game coming from Konami's camp. That wasn't always the case, of course.

Intelligent brand of football that promotes passing and movement; Role Control is an idea so good that it needs to become a football game standard; Palpable sense of achievement in breaking down the defence of elite teams; In-game graphics are excellent; as are most player likenesses; FIFA finally...

Lack of official licenses continues to irritate; Commentary is dull and repetitive

Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 (PS4) - Review

These days Fathers and Mothers, the youth of gaming days past, sit children on their knees and regale them with tales of their prowess on ISS Pro Evolution 2 ; the inexplicable power of Edgar Davids, the finesse of Gabriel Batistuta, the trickery of Marc Overmars.

PES 2015 review – premiere league comeback

A significant improvement on the last generation of Pro Evo games, and for the first time in years PES is more entertaining than the new FIFA.

A fantastically fast, precise, and endlessly entertaining game of football; Excellent animation and a good range of game modes to support the action

Everything but one touch passing has a strange lag that can interrupt the flow of play; Some minor graphical issues and the usual licensing issues

Review: PES 2015 equals FIFA on the pitch, but falls short off it

The on-pitch action is arguably the equal of FIFA, but that's far from the only thing that matters.

Leans further towards realism; teaches the sport's mechanics; Some likenesses - Suarez; Ibra; Robben - are scarily good

Master League's menus and tone are horrendously outdated; Replays are painfully slow and can't be fast-forwarded
