Panasonic lumix DC-GH5S Black - BRAND NEW review

The Panasonic LUMIX GH5s is excellent for studio video. It records both 4k and Cinema 4k at up to 60p. It can also record 10-bit 4:2:2 video internally at frame rates up to 30p, allowing you to take full advantage of the sensor's dynamic range.

10-bit 4:2:2 internal recording up to 30p., No recording time limit., 4k and C4k up to 60 fps., Impressive video quality.

Not the most portable camera., Mediocre autofocus in video.

Panasonic Lumix GH5S Mirrorless Camera - Brand New review

The Apple iPhone 14 is no match for the just-released iPhone 14 Pro, but if you ignore that, it’s one of the most effective phones around.

Great cameras, front and back, Fast performance, Good battery life, Innovative safety features

Design too familiar, Some average features

Panasonic Lumix GH5S Mirrorless Camera - Brand New review

The iPhone 14 isn’t much of an upgrade over the iPhone 13, but it’s still a great device and an upgrade for anyone coming from the iPhone 11 or older.

Great camera, Good battery, Emergency features are cool, Still excellent performance

Display could use some upgrades

The Panasonic Lumix DC GH5S is one of the most video-centric cameras we've ever reviewed, which raises some interesting challenges. Specifically: how much weight should we give to features (such as stabilization and autofocus) that we've come to expect cameras to offer, even though they're things...

Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5S Review

The GH5S is a highly specialized filmmakers' camera that makes few concessions to anything but this core purpose. An excellent sensor combined with high bitrate, 10-bit 4:2:2 capture means the results are hugely impressive. Add an external recorder and these benefits remain, even for both UHD and DCI 60p capture. The loss of stabilization means it's limited to gimbal or tripod work but in those circumstances, it shines.

Panasonic Lumix GH5S Mirrorless Camera - Brand New review

More like an iPhone 13S. The generational upgrades for the iPhone 14 are limited to a few subtle changes. At the same time, however, the base price climbs to 800 USD, while the only true innovation happens inside the iPhone 14 Pro series.

excellent OLED display, dust- and waterproof, fast Wi-Fi, wide range of supported frequencies, great camera, very fast performance, good battery life

display limited to 60 Hz, charging rate limited to 20 watts, no macro lens, wide notch

Panasonic Lumix GH5S

The Panasonic Lumix GH5S is certainly one of the more specialized cameras out there, and it's not going to be for everyone. While it can shoot stills quite happily (although at a pretty limited resolution), this should be seen first and foremost as a video camera – if you want to do both you've got...

Multi-aspect sensor design; Incredibly comprehensive video spec; Solid and weather-sealed body; Large; high-resolution viewfinder

Absence of IS not for everyone; Battery life could be better; Stills resolution compromised for video
