OPPO R9s Smartphone Black CPH1607 review

Although the design is sort of a blatant copy of their competitor’s flagship smartphone, but it definitely works and I can see that OPPO’s designer is adding their own touch to the recipe such as the ultra-fine antenna lines.
Pros:
  • Great packaging (included screen protector
  • soft case & VOOC charger)
  • Great build quality
  • Unique antenna line design
  • FAST fingerprint scanner
  • Great 1080p FHD AMOLED display

The Oppo R9s is the follow-up to last year's R9 – a breakthrough product that made Oppo's devices stand out from the Android crowd. And that way it did that was by looking like an iPhone. The Oppo R9s is virtually identical to the R9 and thereby still looks a lot like an iPhone.
Pros:
  • Slick design
  • affordable
  • good cameras
  • great battery life
Cons:
  • No NFC
  • iPhone clone (some may say this is a Pro)

Is this the best mid-range Android phone?

We've been seriously impressed with Oppo phones in the past. The Oppo F1s was one of the best-value phones of 2016 . Now the R9S hits the market with a spec sheet that almost rivals a Samsung Galaxy S7 but much thinner, with a much lower sticker-price and arguably-better looks? Is it any good?
Pros:
  • Looks and feels great
  • Ultra-fast fingerprint unlock
  • Good value and well featured
  • Dual-sim
Cons:
  • Bit sluggish running powerful apps
  • Annoying camera shutter lag
  • Mediocre battery life

Oppo R9s smartphone full review

There's much to like about the R9s: it does so many things and looks great. It's a bit sluggish in terms of performance and camera, though. But at this price it's still great value. Update: Before you choose a phone, check out the amazing Samsung Galaxy S8 review.
Pros:
  • Looks and feels great
  • Ultra-fast fingerprint unlock
  • Good value and well featured
  • Dual-sim
Cons:
  • Bit sluggish running powerful apps
  • Annoying camera shutter lag
  • Mediocre battery life

OPPO R9s Smartphone Black CPH1607 review

Performance Previously, we unboxed OPPO’s latest magnum opus, the R9s cameraphone that offered midrange workhorse prices and a solid feature set with a rear camera that has a shot, pun not intended, to rival more powerful (and pricier) phones in the market.

For the past one year, it is hard not to relate the word " selfie " with OPPO Malaysia 's smartphones given how the company has been working hard to establish its devices which include F1 , F1 Plus , and F1s as the " Selfie Expert " devices.

Oppo R9s review: A new contender for the midrange crown

Oppo's R9s battery life and camera make it a great midprice buy, even if it isn't as buttery-smooth as more upmarket phones. There are some good reasons to look past the Oppo R9s' alarmingly Apple-ish design. First, this follow-up to the Oppo R9 has got killer battery life. Second, the front and rear 16-megapixel cameras are serious business. And third, you can pick up the R9s for a fraction of flagship prices -- AU$600 (around $435 or £350, converted).
Pros:
  • The Oppo R9s' 16-megapixel front and rear cameras are all-star performers. It'll go for days on a single charge, and has custom gesture controls.
Cons:
  • You'll feel the phone's midrange design in its sharp-edged aluminium body and some clunky software navigation.

Getting a phone today is an affair of near-endless comparisons. This is especially so when you're looking at the Android market. This doesn't stop manufacturers to make phones that stand out in a market of phones that looks mostly identical.
Pros:
  • Both front and rear cameras are 16MP
  • Good redesign on the otherwise mundane antenna lines
  • Good battery life
Cons:
  • Pricey for its specifications
