Affordable phones are getting better and better, so there's never been a better time not to pony up for a pricey iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S. The latest budget phone to impress me is the Oppo R11, a solid 5.5-inch device with a great camera and impressive battery life.

OPPO certainly isn't a name we hear very often in the West. Travel pretty much anywhere in China, however, and you'll be amazed at just how much you see the italicized green logo. OPPO's targeted success is understandable.

The Oppo R11 is perfectly capable of standing its own ground in the midrange and has just enough flair and character to put pressure on the upper tier. Now, it's not of the same caliber as the OnePlus 5 and it obviously isn't the touted Find 9 either, to put another rumor to rest - but it doesn't...

I couldn't help like this phone with a nice 5.5-inch screen straight away, thanks to its thinness (6.8mm), and light weight (150g). It feels great in the hand, and stays there due to a nice matte back. It packs in a 3000 mAh battery and is powered by a decent Snapdragon 660 octa-core CPU @ 2.2GHz.

Got this as a present 2wks ago. Upgrade from R7 Plus. Quality phone but the battery life is not as good as the R7 Plus. Screen is smaller however a good phone nonetheless.

The Phone is easy to use and navigate; Like the features of the Camera and where the buttons are; It is quite quick to activate apps etc; Would still like to get it a bit cheaper but overall a great Phone and I would recommend u give a try, u won't be disappointed; Daniel
