Played the original game on the PC and was incredibly satisfied on how the game worked got it for the 360 and enjoying the graphics and a couple different details. I won't go into much but the game isn't like COD or BF - call of duty , battlefield in case you don't know the abbreviations.

Operation Flashpoint: Red River is a great shooter. Unlike the Call of Duty series, which i have always loved, The Flashpoint series is more realistic. Thanx to one hit kills and the use of med. kits.

I chose 4 stars because there is no "out of 10" rating, as i would give it a 6.5, after reading reviews of this game for myself i was excited to purchase it, then again actually playing is a different story.

Operation Flashpoint: Red River is a good game that sometimes comes close to greatness but is let down by a misguided need to become something it's not meant to be. It's too tactical for the average gamer and too pedestrian for gamers that enjoy a tactical challenge.

This game is way to tactical for me it is like the hardest and most stupidest games ever you die in one bullet or 2 and the gameplay is so hard to get used to!

The AI is stupid and game play is frustrating! For example(s): you tell your team to Hold Position and they continually roam around. And during battles they would 'roam around' into the firing line and get killed.

Now I play lots of fps's most of my game collection is COD Halo and Battlefield. I bought this game after being dissapointed with the complete lack of teamwork and realism for battlefield 3, and this game will not dissapoint. Its amazing, the graphics, unlike what everyone says, are just fine.

It's very clear in Operation Flashpoint: Red River that Codemasters were trying to retain the gritty realism of their past titles, whilst simultaneously making them more accessible and fun for the masses, well, they succeeded.

The experience of being a marine isn't supposed to be like games like Halo and Duke Nukem. You aren't some over strength one-man army action hero. You are part of a team and being a part of that team means that you bring in your strengths and weaknesses with the rest of them.

Impressive voice acting; You're able to customize your soldier's load out before a mission

Graphics are subpar; gameplay is slow and agonizing; spend way too much time healing yourself or your teammates than actually participating in a firefight
