Tactical Shooter Enveloping Gameplay

Played the original game on the PC and was incredibly satisfied on how the game worked got it for the 360 and enjoying the graphics and a couple different details. I won't go into much but the game isn't like COD or BF - call of duty , battlefield in case you don't know the abbreviations.

Great game.

Operation Flashpoint: Red River is a great shooter. Unlike the Call of Duty series, which i have always loved, The Flashpoint series is more realistic. Thanx to one hit kills and the use of med. kits.

Not an Enjoyable Game to Play

The AI is stupid and game play is frustrating! For example(s): you tell your team to Hold Position and they continually roam around. And during battles they would 'roam around' into the firing line and get killed.

Operation Flashpoint: Red River is a good game that sometimes comes close to greatness but is let down by a misguided need to become something it's not meant to be. It's too tactical for the average gamer and too pedestrian for gamers that enjoy a tactical challenge.

This game is way to tactical for me it is like the hardest and most stupidest games ever you die in one bullet or 2 and the gameplay is so hard to get used to!

Despite what Edwin Starr would have you believe; war (huh!) is in fact pretty good for inspiring all sorts of entertainment media. For every Oscar winning movie on the subject there is now a BAFTA award winning video game all based around the various awful conflicts that have plagued humanity since...

Operation Flashpoint: Red River review

Welcome to Tajikistan; a sandy, typical Central Asian country suffering from a conflict with terrorist group ETIM. The US send the Marine Corps to eliminate the insurgent threat to the nation following attacks on Afghanistan.

Operation Flashpoint: Red River Review

I still have fond memories of the classic Operation Flashpoint on the PC, it was a clunky and ugly would-be war simulator, rife with glitches, but it's not-so-trivial offering of playable military hardware, and vast unrestricted maps made it extremely satisfying to play.

Operation Flashpoint: Red River

Military shooter Operation Flashpoint: Red River is Codemasters' follow-up to 2009's Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising . For the uninitiated, the Operation Flashpoint series has traditionally strived to bring heightened authenticity and realism to the genre, and as such has always rather neatly...

Operation Flashpoint: Red River

In conclusion, Operation Flashpoint: Red River does what it says on the cover. This leans more towards the more realistic aspects of war, which isn't about running through swarms of enemies and hiding behind cover as you magically regenerate health.
