This OnePlus flagship has more in common with the OnePlus Nord than it does the OnePlus 8 series with which it shares its name, with a flat screen, rectangular camera protrusion, and glossy green glass rear. That makes it no longer a "flagship killer" but a true flagship that needs to go directly up against Apple's and Samsung's similarly priced phones. Lightning fast charging and long battery life despite bright screen with 120 Hz refresh rate. Among the fastest mobiles for the price, and the camera takes good pictures in wide format as well as in the dark, or when you get really close to your subject.

Missing wireless charging and IP certification. Miserable front camera and the primary camera lacks optical zoom. Too many Google apps degrade OxygenOS.

The OnePlus 8T is yet another top-spec, very well-priced, excellent phone from the Chinese smartphone brand. It has a great 120Hz screen, good build, attractive design, the very best of performance, good battery life, 5G, dual-sim and a good set of cameras.

The OnePlus 8T is a good upgrade for all OnePlus users who are on phones that came before the OnePlus 7. In fact, I won’t be surprised if OnePlus 8 buyers feel a bit shortchanged after this one because it is, by all means, a better phone, coming just months after they got theirs.
