This OnePlus flagship has more in common with the OnePlus Nord than it does the OnePlus 8 series with which it shares its name, with a flat screen, rectangular camera protrusion, and glossy green glass rear. 2020 started with some of the most expensive smartphones ever, designed to appeal to a booming pre-pandemic economy. COVID-19 slammed on the brakes, causing Apple and Samsung to make sure they had less-expensive options. OnePlus, uncharacteristically, hasn't been quite as nimble.
