Easier to live with than the OnePlus 7 Pro...

I initially purchased the OnePlus 7 Pro but found it very difficult to live with. It's top-heavy, the curved screen reflects and distorts light and the form factor is just generally uncomfortable. I swapped it for a OnePlus 7 and this simpler, more robust design hits the mark.

OnePlus 7 Review – A Whole Lotta Phone For £500

Sure, the OnePlus 7 is more conventional and doesn't try to dazzle with technical gimmicks, but it's also one of the most powerful phones you can buy for under £500
Pros:
  • Great screen
  • Good design
  • Amazing value
Cons:
  • No wireless charging
  • Outclassed by the OnePlus 7 Pro

OnePlus 7 review: absolutely brilliant, but not for everyone

OnePlus 7 is an incremental upgrade to the flagship OnePlus 6T that launched in October last year. The OnePlus 7 is designed for those who don't fancy coughing up for the all-singing, all-dancing OnePlus 7 Pro or its 5G-enabled counterpart , which start from £649 – the highest price ever commanded...
Pros:
  • It's impossibly fast
  • In-screen fingerprint scanner is fast
  • futuristic
  • Camera is solid
  • Fast-charger in the box
Cons:
  • Screen is fine
  • but not the best
  • No water resistance
  • No 3.5mm headphone port

OnePlus 7T Review: Putting $999 Phones To Shame

Contrary to popular belief, the OnePlus 7T is actually a successor to the OnePlus 7. Which never made its way over to the US. So many are comparing it to the OnePlus 7 Pro that did come to the US, and it compares pretty well. The price is very similar to the OnePlus 7 Pro, only about $70 difference.
Pros:
  • Impressive design for a sub-$600 smartphone
  • Incredible performance
  • Great battery life
  • Oxygen OS 10 is amazing
  • Android 10 out of the box
  • Great value for the money
  • Smaller and easier to handle than the OnePlus 7 Pro
Cons:
  • No wireless charging
  • No IP rating for waterproofing
  • Camera could use some work
  • No expandable storage
  • No "upgraded" models (just one version in the US

OnePlus 7 review: Evolution, not revolution

By launching at the same time as the impressive OnePlus 7 Pro, the standard OnePlus 7 has been seen as a sort-of "lite" phone. It's the device that barely got any mention at the launch and hasn't been talked about much since. But don't let that fool you into thinking it's a bad phone.
Pros:
  • Very good value for money
  • Fast and fluid performance
  • Solid build and premium design
  • Stereo sound is improved
Cons:
  • Not much has changed since the 6T
  • No wireless charging
  • No official IP rating

OnePlus 7 review

The OnePlus 7 is closer to a 6T with a specs bump than it is to the all-new 7 Pro, but that's really no bad thing. Here's our full review

OnePlus 7 review: A fast 7 Pro alternative that’s cheaper but with less features

While the Oneplus 7 lacks the excitement of the 7 Pro, it's the sensible choice if you're shopping on a budget. Get this phone over the older 6T. The OnePlus 7 is either a more affordable, less exciting OnePlus 7 Pro ($499 at Amazon), or a souped-up OnePlus 6T ($720 at Amazon), depending on how you look at it. At £549 in the UK (with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, as reviewed), it sits below the £699-equivalent 7 Pro, and a touch under the £579-equivalent 6T. You do lose some of the pizzazz of the Pro with that extra money you're saving, but the additional power makes it a better option over the older 6T.
Pros:
  • The OnePlus 7 shares the Pro's powerful processor
  • has a great battery life and comes with a more affordable price tag.
Cons:
  • Its lack of a pop-up selfie camera and additional wide-angle lens means it's more of a marginal upgrade over last year's OnePlus 6T than a variant of the OnePlus 7 Pro
  • There's no expandable storage or headphone jack, either.
