OnePlus 7 review: designed to tease you into a Pro model
This year for the first time, OnePlus presented not one but two smartphones. While other manufacturers have been offering Plus or Pro models for some time, this is new ground for the Chinese manufacturer.
Pros:
- Good build quality
- Strong performance
- Very reliable fingerprint scanner
- Fast software
- close to stock Android
- DND (do not disturb) slider
Cons:
- No wireless charging
- No IP certification
- No Warp Charge

The OnePlus 7 is either a more affordable, less exciting OnePlus 7 Pro ( $700 at T-Mobile USA ) , or a souped-up OnePlus 6T ( $579 at Amazon ) , depending on how you look at it. Pros:
- The OnePlus 7 shares the Pro's powerful processor
- has a great battery life and comes with a more affordable price tag
Cons:
- Its lack of a pop-up selfie camera and additional wide-angle lens means it's more of a marginal upgrade over last year's OnePlus 6T than a variant of the OnePlus 7 Pro
- There's no expandable storage or headphone jack, either

Easier to live with than the OnePlus 7 Pro...
I initially purchased the OnePlus 7 Pro but found it very difficult to live with. It's top-heavy, the curved screen reflects and distorts light and the form factor is just generally uncomfortable. I swapped it for a OnePlus 7 and this simpler, more robust design hits the mark.

The OnePlus 7 is a dependable, affordable flagship smartphone, but if you're looking for fancy 2019 features you won't find them here. It's got high-end power and in-display fingerprint scanner, but borrows a lot from its predecessor.
Pros:

- Premium features for less
- Solid battery life
Cons:
- Very similar to OnePlus 6T
- Overshadowed by OnePlus 7 Pro

OnePlus launched its 7th-gen smartphone - OnePlus 7 along with its Pro version a few weeks back. In an attempt to retain the mid-range flagship position, the company launched it at a price of Rs. 32,999.
Pros:
- Competitive pricing
- Stereo speakers
- In-display fingerprint scanner is better
- Smooth performance
Cons:
- Same old design
- Average low-light camera performance

OnePlus 7 review
You could do a lot worse than the OnePlus 7. It's beautifully put together, delivers stacks of power and is a competent performer across the board. Some other phones that cost less have better cameras, though, the Pixel 3C being the current king on that front.

Cons:
- It's a OnePlus 6T refresh
- Good
- not great camera
- Sharp
- pronounced camera bump
