OnePlus 5T 8GB

The OnePlus 5T replaces its sibling as the best phone to buy in the sub-40k price bracket. However, for Android lovers, this doesn't have the newest version of the OS and lacks a camera that can take on the Google Pixel 2 XL.

Well built; Good performance; Nice display; Improved low light photography; still not the best

No water or dust resistance; Not running on Android Oreo out of the box

OnePlus 5T

There's an 'uncanny valley' in phone pricing in the US. We buy a lot of phones that cost less than $400, but if we're going to spend $500, pretty often we spend $700, especially if that $700 phone comes with a monthly payment plan. The OnePlus 5T falls smack into that uncanny valley.

Fast processor for the price; Bright screen; Better-than-average front camera; Well-placed fingerprint sensor

Low-resolution screen for its size; Not water resistant; Modem doesn't have the latest features

The OnePlus 5T makes an appealing budget alternative to a flagship, with excellent hardware performance and impressive battery stamina. However, not all the flagship features are there, and we think more people will be bothered by the lack of wireless charging, QHD screen, waterproofing and a...

Great hardware; long-lasting battery; appealing price

Camera output is often grainy and particularly struggles in low light

Before wrapping up the review, we would like to show a few more charts so you can see how the OnePlus 5t is positioned when it comes to value for the price . The Oneplus 5t has been thought and designed and a best-value handset from the get go, and such it is a great success.

Great 6-inch 1080p (2160x1080) 18:9 display; Good battery life; USB-C and headphone jack ports; Amazingly fast Dash charging; Great performance; Premium built-quality at a good price

No microSD slot; Not water resistant; No wireless charging; No optical zoom; No OIS

Overall a great phone with a not so great camera

3 things really surprised me about this phone. The build, the display, and the battery. All exceeded my expectations. I was worried about going from a 1440p LCD display to this 1080p AMOLED but I like this screen way more than my previous phones. The vivid colors are outstanding.

Exceptional battery life; Beautiful screen; Incredibly fast; Active development; Great build quality; Good value; Software is nice; Top notch specs

Photos lack detail; Low light pictures are bad

Poor quality, poor fit

very disappointed, not a good fit and it seems like the edge is a more flexible material that was so thin it was sharp. Also, there is a seam between the glass and this flexible edge and I couldn't get that to stay flush with the phone screen leaving a long skinny bubble all along the edge.

OnePlus 5T review-An outstanding combination of specs, design, and price

After launching the OnePlus 5 earlier this year, OnePlus is back with an end-of-year upgrade for the device. The OnePlus 5T takes a winning formula-high-end specs with a low price tag and a metal body-and reworks the front of the phone to dedicate as much space as possible to the screen.

The slim bezel design; on-screen buttons; and Samsung OLED display make the front of this phone every bit as good as the $800 flagships; The metal back feels great; and it's way more durable than the all-glass phones out there; The rear fingerprint reader is fast and accurate; plus it's in an...

No water resistance; No MicroSD card; No formal update policy makes it hard to know what future support will be like
