OnePlus 5T Review

The OnePlus 5T gives you this year's must-have mobile tech for less.

6-inch AMOLED screen with slim bezels; Great performance; simple software; Competitive price; Face unlock works well; Capable camera with strong portrait mode

No water resistance; Old version of Android installed at launch

OnePlus 5T review: A $500 mid-range phone with the heart of a $900 flagship

With a 6-inch display and thinner bezels, the OnePlus 5T is nearly as good as the premium crop of Android phones, but for hundreds less.

Display upgrade brings it in line with premium Android phones; Chip and battery life are simply stellar; OxygenOS is nearly as good as stock Android

Camera is better; but the loss of a telephoto lens is a bummer; No expandable storage; water resistance; or wireless charging

OnePlus 5T

Editors' Note : This review was originally published on Nov. 20, 2017 and was updated on Nov. 29, 2017 with additional battery information and an Editors' Choice Award. OnePlus did it again.

The OnePlus 5T has a bigger screen and its camera takes better low-light photos than the 5; Its few software tweaks are useful in small ways

The phone's face unlock doesn't authorize payments and its dual camera's digital rather than telephoto zoom is a step back; There's no expandable storage, and it's not rated for water resistance

OnePlus 5T review: The (new) best Android for Windows phone converts

Last year I reviewed the OnePlus 3T as a Windows phone user, and I called it the best Android phone for Windows phone converts. Its price, software, and design made it a no-brainer for Android newcomers, and it was a great option for those who are looking to switch from Windows phone.

Premium build quality; Lots of RAM means great performance; Clean; relatively stock Android

Slippery; Camera is only

OnePlus 5T Review: Say Hello to the Phone Bargain of the Year

Many people interested in the OnePlus 5T, reading this review, and pouring over the spec sheet will ask "where's the catch?" To be fair, OnePlus' latest doesn't reach perfect feature parity with every high-end handset.

Beautiful Screen; Blistering performance; Great battery life; Flagship-caliber cameras; Very fast charging: Amazing value

No wireless charging or microSD slot; Lacks optical zoom; Not water resistant

OnePlus 5T Smartphone Review

The OnePlus 5T is a great smartphone for smart spenders: A good price, low power consumption and a great price-performance ratio. The OnePlus 5T is currently one of the fastest smartphones available that also offers a very durable battery, good speakers and great cameras.

very stable metal case; wide range of LTE bands; fast Wi-Fi; fast UFS-2.1 memory; very high performance; color-accurate screen; slim; up-to-date software; precise GPS; clear call quality; optional dark software theme; very good cameras; rather low power consumption; long battery runtimes; physical...

rather heavy; no microSD slot; microphone distorts loud sounds; lack of color at wider viewing angles; not water or dust resistant; heats up under extreme load; minimal loss in performance at very high load

OnePlus 5T review: polished to a T

OnePlus is one of those beguiling companies that seem to promise impossibly wonderful things. Flagship products at budget prices. The assiduous elegance of an iPhone at the attainable cost of a midrange Motorola.

Minimalist; elegant design; Fits 6-inch display within the dimensions of a one-handed phone; Thoughtfully optimized software; Reading Mode

The main camera is still not as good as flagship competition; Shipping without the latest version of Android is not encouraging; Face Unlock grows frustratingly inconsistent in challenging light; Still not waterproof

OnePlus 5T review: A good thing gets even better

The OnePlus 5T is great fun to test. The display is very attractive, the 18:9 format ensures a modern, contemporary look throughout the entire design of the smartphone. Unlocking by face recognition is a practical addition and functions flawlessly.

Incredibly fast; Very attractive display; Good cameras; Good battery life and Dash Charge; Dual SIM

No Android 8.0 Oreo available yet; USB 2.0 only; No stereo speakers

OnePlus 5T review-An outstanding combination of specs, design, and price

After launching the OnePlus 5 earlier this year, OnePlus is back with an end-of-year upgrade for the device. The OnePlus 5T takes a winning formula-high-end specs with a low price tag and a metal body-and reworks the front of the phone to dedicate as much space as possible to the screen.

The slim bezel design; on-screen buttons; and Samsung OLED display make the front of this phone every bit as good as the $800 flagships; The metal back feels great; and it's way more durable than the all-glass phones out there; The rear fingerprint reader is fast and accurate; plus it's in an...

No water resistance; No MicroSD card; No formal update policy makes it hard to know what future support will be like

OnePlus 5T review: Bigger screen, bigger price, but still a good deal

The OnePlus 5T looks and feels like a more expensive phone than it is. The aluminum unibody design is understated and inoffensive, and I'm pleased OP is sticking with the headphone jack. Although, I think OnePlus would have been better served by keeping the old dual camera setup.

Speed This phone is fast ; It rivals the Pixel 2 most of the time, Display The 18:9 display offers more space without making the phone harder to hold, Fingerprint sensor Still one of the fastest out there, and it's on the back (the right place, Design Getting rid of the capacitive buttons is a win,...

Price again The OnePlus 5T brings another small price increase; These add up, and could eventually put OP in direct competition with the likes of Google and Samsung, No Oreo The phone launches with Android 7.1.1.
