OnePlus 5T review: Tough to beat

The OnePlus 5T is a very impressive phone. It's got a sleek, premium design, a great dual camera setup, and it's unbelievably fast. With the updated screen and camera, it certainly puts a cat among the Android flagship pigeons. At this price, it's tough to beat. Liked this?

Great screen; Affordable price; Premium design; User friendly features

Camera slightly behind rivals; Screen still 'only' HD

OnePlus 5T: Lava Red version finally released in UK and US

OnePlus' refreshed flagship has a swanky 18:9 screen and a camera that's intended for use in low-light; and it's now available in white

Big 18:9 screen; Same size as before; Reasonable price

No microSD expansion; No waterproofing

OnePlus 5T review: A true flagship in every way

Although it isn't as cheap as OnePlus phones from years gone by, this - on first impressions - still seems like an incredible phone, that just also happens to cost a lot less than regular big-name flagship phones.

Big and vivid 18:9 ratio display; Dash Charge is great as always; Solid ergonomic build; Speedy and smooth performance

Still no QuadHD resolution; No Android Oreo yet; No IP-rated water or dust resistance; Camera not quite a flagship

Excellent condition with cellophane instructions in the box and original ...

Excellent condition with cellophane instructions in the box and original stickers.New condition. This phone has been discontinued for the notched op6 and I hate notches. If you also hate notches just like me, and can live with a 30 day guarantee rather than a year let NGP be your hard to find phone...

Efficient, Customizable, Long lasting, Robust Smartphone

Oneplus 5T is really efficient and it is as good as the other flagship smart phones; Battery timings are fantastic and can last more than a day; I compared the performance with samsung s8+ and the performance in loading applications especially some high end gaming apps is exactly the same as s8+.

Probably the only thing might be the camera; Portrait mode takes really good pictures but zooming in makes the picture quality somewhat lesser

OnePlus 5T review: premium full-screen experience at half cost of iPhone X

The OnePlus 5T is a brilliant phone. The large, good-looking 6in screen corrects one of the only flaws with the previous OnePlus 5 to produce a device that is thoroughly on-trend. Its performance is top-notch, the cameras are good, the phone feels great and there's even a headphone socket.

great battery life; good screen; good build; great performance; dual-Sim; good camera; Bluetooth 5

old version of Android; no IP water resistance rating; screen only FHD+; no wireless charging; no expandable storage; questions around support

Great Phone

Best OnePlus yet. Takes great low light pictures especially if you have a tripod! Battery lasts for about 2 days with moderate use. Fingerprint scanner and facial recognition are both very snappy. Also OnePlus has the 8.1 update for it just around the corner.

Have everything I want from a phone and then at a clearly interesting price compared to Samsung etc. Good battery life Takes really nice cards Some customized variants of Android that I would have done without The only negative that I find is that it is a little difficult to find good accessories,...

OnePlus 5T review

The 5T is a slick improvement on an already slick phone, with useful extras in addition to that eye-catching screen. It’s still very much a handset made to a budget, which becomes clear when you stick it next to a more expensive rival - there’s no waterproofing, wireless charging, or expandable storage, and as much as we prefer metal for its sturdiness, glass is most definitely in right now. The mere six month turnover between phones might sting a bit if you recently sprung for a OnePlus 5, too. We've been criticising Sony for doing the same for years, so it's only fair to give OnePlus some stick too. Really though, the price is what should make the 5T a winner. You’re getting a more modern screen, slicker camera and smart bonuses like facial recognition, for the same price as the old phone - that’s half the price of an Apple or Google handset.

18:9 aspect screen brings it bang up to date; Slight camera improvements; Same great performance & battery life;

No waterproofing, wireless charging; Camera quality still middle of the pack; A bit too soon?;
