Still great value; A little bit more power; Fab design;
Selfie camera not much of an improvement; Battery life doesn’t seem to have increased; Significantly pricier than the OG OnePlus 3;

Despite being only a couple of years old in the Indian smartphone market, OnePlus has a rather strong foothold in the arena, all credits to its debut "flagship killer" smartphone, the OnePlus One.
An All-rounder
Non-expandable storage
A true flagship killer!
Battery; design; quality; OS; fingerprint & more
Camera is average
With a better processor, battery, and front camera, the OnePlus 3T is a tune-up of an already great phone.
Great specs for the money; Larger battery ensures a full-day's charge; Adds 128GB option
Costs $40 more than the OnePlus 3; Higher-resolution front camera doesn't add much to selfies; Still no Verizon or Sprint support
The previous OnePlus 3 was already the best phone for the money, and while the 3T's $439 starting price has upped the ante a bit, improved performance and an extra 2 hours of battery life are worth the extra $40.
Excellent battery life; Great performance; Superfast Dash charging
Limited to GSM carriers; Display could be brighter
It does everything really, really well, and while it may not truly excel in areas such as screen resolution and camera quality, the OnePlus 3T is still astonishingly good value for what is a serious flagship contender.
Great battery life; Super-slick performance; Still an affordable flagship
No microSD slot; Slightly more expensive; Incremental upgrades
The OnePlus 3T will be unfairly compared, for now at least, to the phone that came before it. So let's ignore it. On its own, the OnePlus 3T is everything a modern smartphone should be; slim, fast, and responsive, with above average battery life and cameras that produce stunning images.
At the end of November last year I was sent a OnePlus 3T . This appeared relatively hot on the heels of the OnePlus 3 , which I'd reviewed in the middle of 2016, judging it to be the best smartphone in its price range.
Attractive design; Solid build; Dual SIM slots; Excellent battery life; with fast charging; 64GB or 128GB internal storage options
No MicroSD card slot
Editors' Note: Since the June 2017 release of the OnePlus 5, OnePlus is phasing out 3T production and will no longer actively sell the phone. You can read CNET's OnePlus 5 review here.
This is our new favorite budget Android, but if you have the OnePlus 3, you don't need to upgrade.
The OnePlus 3T's battery lasts way longer; takes sharper selfies and has a 128GB storage option.
Pricier than the OnePlus 3; the 3T now directly competes with better phones.
The OnePlus 3T is a worthy successor to the OnePlus 3 . However, the task has not been too challenging for the manufacturer because the previous model was already one of the best high-end Android smartphones. The changes for the OnePlus 3T are also pretty small, so this is still the case here.
high-quality chassis; high-end performance without throttling; good camera; fast storage; fast WLAN; dual-SIM; notification lever; USB Type-C; up to 128 GB internal storage; decent voice quality with noise suppression; good display; Quick-Charge; long battery runtimes
only LTE Cat; 6, different frequencies depending on the region, no storage expansion, no FM radio, webcam not as sharp as before, no Infrared, speakers with some static, no headphones in the box
