Nokia E72 smartphone
The Nokia E72 smartphone is a replacement for the popular E71 . It's a commendable smartphone and benefits from a few nice improvements, but E71 owners have little incentive to upgrade.
Pros:
- Stylish design
- QWERTY keyboard
- optical navi key
- Nokia Messaging
- faster processor than predecessor
- 3.5mm headphone jack
Cons:
- Symbian lacks polish compared to alternatives
- small display
- optical navi key can be annoying when Web browsing

Nokia E72 Review
There are a number of small hardware changes, including a camera upgrade to 5.0 megapixels, a tweaked keyboard layout, an Optical Navi Key (trackpad) in the centre of the D-pad, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The E72 will be available from Q3 2009 at a cost of €350 (before taxes and subsidies).

Nokia E72
As far as call quality goes, we couldn't find any differences between the E71 and E72. However their ring tones do sound differently because of the relocated speakerphone in the E72; let me put it this way: the E72 sounded a bit muffled in my pocket, but was louder when put face-up on a table.

Nokia E72 Review
The sequel to Nokia's best selling E71, the E72 begins life with a secured following. Visually similar, pimped with a bit more chrome and a sleeker finish, you have to look inside to fully appreciate it's beefier than it's younger brother.

Business of messaging
Nokia E72 is one of those handsets everybody is talking about long before their release. There may be nothing much to talk about - after all everyone knows what to expect of the Eseries and they have never let us down. But still, savoring the next batch of Eseries steel is always a pleasure.

Review: Review: Nokia E72 - part 2: Camera, Media, Applications, Round up
In part 2 of my Nokia E72 review, I look at its camera functions, multimedia handling and general applications, before rounding it up. Does it measure up to the 2009 competition? See also part 1 of the E72 review , looking at its hardware and performance.

Nokia E72 handles all sorts of communication technologies, with an ease of use and synergy between its hardware and software – which is hard, if not entirely impossible to beat. Add an excellent camera to the list, and you have a handset which will in all probability sell well with folks who might...
