It switches like magic! One second, you're using Nintendo Switch as a home console, and the next you're taking it with you as a portable system. It's totally awesome no matter which way you use it.

HD to handheld

When used as a home console, the Nintendo Switch lets you play a great range of cool games in immersive HD. If you wish to use it in handheld mode, the experience is still pretty stunning thanks to a multi-touch capacitive touch screen which can display a resolution of 1280 x 720.

The joy of Joy-Con

The Joy-Con controllers really give Nintendo Switch an edge on similar gaming devices. One of the best features is HD Rumble; imagine your Joy-Con is a glass. With HD rumble, you'll feel the difference as you add ice cubes and pour water into the glass. This sense of touch goes way beyond the normal vibrations you might have experienced in other controllers. Meanwhile the IR Motion Camera can detect shape, movement, and the distance of objects captured by the camera, adding an extra thrill to your gameplay.

A word to the grownups

Parental controls on Nintendo Switch allows you to manage how your family interacts with the device.

Hours of fun

Excellent battery life means the fun can last for more than six hours, depending on software and usage conditions. For example, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild can be played for about three hours on one charge.

A mountain of memory

There's plenty of memory to play with here. 32GB of internal memory, while storage space can be extended by simply using microSDHC or microSDXC cards.

Nintendo Switch updated review: Redefining the games console

A revolutionary console. It doesn't fade in the face of the PS5 or Xbox Series X. For many it's redefined on-the-go gaming, not just at-home gaming, thanks to top first-party titles.
Pros:
  • Some of the best first-party titles on any console
  • Use at home or on the go
  • Joy-Cons are versatile
  • Up to 1080p 60fps graphics
Cons:
  • No media streaming apps like Netflix
  • Only 32GB storage without buying a microSD card
  • Starting to show its age

TheGoodGuys sucks

Never buy any product from good guys. Their website has lots of defects. The order you placed will be cancelled by their team and you will not informed until you enquire about the status of delivery. The customer care team also never responds to your email. God bless theGoodguys. Stay away from it.

I got this for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it! We have used all that it comes with (minus the skin voucher - she didnt seem interested in that at all). The carry case is nice and sturdy, love that it comes with headphones as she is always misplacing hers, and the screen protector goes on...

Nintendo know what they are doing

I'm going to go through a list of "complaints" I have heard about the switch 1. "There are no games for it" - Yep, that's quite valid. It has an awesome lineup and Zelda on it right now (which I have clocked over 100 hours in by now and still have so much I want to do) If game quantity is something...
