Nintendo Switch
It switches like magic! One second, you're using Nintendo Switch as a home console, and the next you're taking it with you as a portable system. It's totally awesome no matter which way you use it.
HD to handheld
When used as a home console, the Nintendo Switch lets you play a great range of cool games in immersive HD. If you wish to use it in handheld mode, the experience is still pretty stunning thanks to a multi-touch capacitive touch screen which can display a resolution of 1280 x 720.
The joy of Joy-Con
The Joy-Con controllers really give Nintendo Switch an edge on similar gaming devices. One of the best features is HD Rumble; imagine your Joy-Con is a glass. With HD rumble, you'll feel the difference as you add ice cubes and pour water into the glass. This sense of touch goes way beyond the normal vibrations you might have experienced in other controllers. Meanwhile the IR Motion Camera can detect shape, movement, and the distance of objects captured by the camera, adding an extra thrill to your gameplay.
A word to the grownups
Parental controls on Nintendo Switch allows you to manage how your family interacts with the device.
Hours of fun
Excellent battery life means the fun can last for more than six hours, depending on software and usage conditions. For example, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild can be played for about three hours on one charge.
A mountain of memory
There's plenty of memory to play with here. 32GB of internal memory, while storage space can be extended by simply using microSDHC or microSDXC cards.

AMAZING
It is an amazing console, it doesn't have much games but Zelda will last hundreds of hours to complete the entire game and get every item.
Actually having one will change your mind.
This is the best handheld ever. The most flexible console ever. Just a great piece of tech. There is a lot of negativity from people who don't have one or aren't interested in one. This is a premium piece of tech. It feels great, runs great, plays well and all the different modes make it so flexible. The launch line up is a little sparce but it'll fill out over time as all catalogs do. Truly worth the money for Nintendo, Handheld and just Gadget fans in general. Really loving mine so far. :)
Nintendo Switch News and Rumor Round-up
A few days ago, sharp eyes across the internet noticed that Nintendo's Switch console has been added to lists of compliant hardware at The Khronos Group . Vulkan 1.0 was the eye-catcher, although the other tabs also claims conformance with OpenGL 4.5 and OpenGL ES 3.2.
Lacklustre games line-up aside, we're really excited about the Switch. Not only is it a drastic improvement on the Wii U before it, but we're pretty much sold on the concept of the hybrid console, which is meticulously designed and offers truly innovative gameplay with its Joy-Con controllers.
Nintendo Switch Console - Grey SWITCH GREY XKW review
Clearly, Nintendo knows how to make fun consoles for the whole family. The Japanese firm has been able to learn from some of their past mistakes to make a product that is flawlessly functional, like a portable Wii U crossed with a Wii.
Nintendo Switch review
In many ways, Nintendo Switch is what the Wii U should have been, and even reprises some of the best games in its catalogue. It's a better built machine, sporting higher grade materials, an innovative Joy-Con controller setup, and a gorgeous screen.
Review: Nintendo Switch
Nintendo's Switch comes out on Friday. I've been playing with the Switch -an all-in-one gaming machine that works as both a handheld device and a TV game console-for the last two weeks.- Gaming anywhere you want. Joy-Cons are marvelous, versatile controllers. Amazing graphic quality from a relatively small tablet
- Not as powerful as a PS4, but Nintendo got out of that game a decade ago. Sleek UI. Region-free game shopping is the best
- Left Joy-Con's wireless connection is flaky
- Can't charge controllers while playing on TV
- Can't charge the tablet in kickstand mode
- Online functionality is bare-bones
- EXPIRED: Goddamned Friend Codes again
Nintendo Switch Review: Forward looking, but not ready today
Nintendo is selling a promise With the Switch, Nintendo is essentially selling a $400 promise. The console has issues, including what will likely be an underpowered processor, a possible lack of third-party support - though Nintendo claims to have 50 developers and publishers on board with the...- Handheld-home console hybrid is compelling
- Build quality is impressive
- The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is amazing
- Launch titles are not great
- It's expensive at $400 CAD
- Battery life is less than stellar
Nintendo Switch
Nintendo is taking a bold step with its latest game system. The $299 Switch is effectively a total replacement for the Wii U console, but it also can be used as a handheld like the 3DS.- Attractive, innovative design
- Solid build quality
- Joy-Cons feel comfortable to use in multiple configurations
- Short battery life
- Flimsy kickstand
Nintendo dares. No other hardware manufacturer takes the kind of risks Nintendo so often does. Whether or not it ultimately pays off is no reason to ridicule a philosophy that may not have served the company well in recent history, but which did make them a household name.
