Good value lens
This lens is used on a D7200. I like the way this lens focuses, It finds focus fast and does not hunt. I like the sharpness of the images. I like the light weight. I use this lens primarily for wildlife photography. I works ok for large birds but does not have enough reach for small birds.

A great walking around lens
I bought this lens as a kit lens with a D7500, and think it's a great walking around lens. Yes, it's bigger than the 18-55. When I shot the 18-55, I was always wishing it had a little more reach. The 18-140 focuses quickly and has pretty good reach. I've been happy with the images.

Really wanted to like this lens
Ive been trying to like this lens for a couple years. It ended up on my spare camera that I keep in the back of my car and rarely ever use. Its just too soft at all focal lengths and aperatures compared with any other lenses in by bag.

I am so happy with this lens. It takes super clear shots and is light to carry. Great value for money. Now I only have to carry one lens around as this one does everything. Love it!

- 7.8x zoom range

- Fairly compact
Cons:
- Loads of distortion
- Edge performance could be better

The Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens shows a lot of distortion, but Nikon cameras can correct that.

Pros:
- Bought the 18-140mm Nikkor lens as a replacement for my Nikkor 18-105mm, which I dropped and broke
- Paired with a Nikon D90 body
- The 18-140mm is an outstanding lens at this price and a surprising step up in quality from the 18-105.
Cons:
- No bad points I can find
- It's a little bigger and heavier than the Nikon 18-105mm, but that's more of an observation than a criticism

Plz buy from RPcamera of flipkart.they r selling it for 21k only. If u buy for 24k obv u can buy from outside retail as they wld be giving u warranty as specified by nikon site but i suggest to buy from Flipkart as its cheap here.

I gave away my old worked off Nikon 18-200, and needed to buy another basic lens. I read good info about the Nikon 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED AF-S DX VR and bought it to use with my Nikon D7100.
