Quality and sharpness of this lens is better than any of the primes i've used even at f2.8. Bokeh is of very good quality too . Focus speed is lightning fast even in poor lighting conditions.

Normal zooms are not very useful but this one at least goes to 24 mm. Heavy in the bag but feels and works perfect when in actual use.

Perfect for use as your only lens

The images are sharpe form centre to corner, by far the best lens in my collection, Cheaper version don't come anywhere near this lens, I use a sigma version of this until it went falty after 7 months, This lens is 50 times better easily :)

This is an amazing lens. Beautifully smooth, accurate and silent focusing. Extremely sharp and contrasty, even at F2.8. The only downside I have to say about this lens is the size and weight. It is big and heavy. It is, by no means, a general walk-around lens.

This is one of the Nikon "holy trinity" lenses to have. Really great as a walk about lens, although the field of view will be somewhat limited on a DX camera body due to the crop factor.

As a longtime Nikon owner, I have used Nikkor wide primes and zooms to varying degrees of satisfaction. But this time, I didn't want to compromise image quality over price. Before deciding on the 24-70 I also considered the 17-35 2.8.

Yes, this lens is big and it is heavy; it's even slightly heavier (albeit slimmer) than my old Nikon f/2.8 28-70 mm "workhorse" which unfortunately gave up the ghost in early 2011 after many years of great service.

Excellent lens..a must have for any professional or a pssionate photographer. makes excellent bokehs and works very well under low lighting conditions. An excellent lens for wedding photography as it gives very good flexibility. Build quality is really great. The hood of the lens is too big !!

I did not buy this from Flipkart but bought it outside as I was getting a combo offer with my D610. I've used this lens before to cover engagements and weddings on my old D700 - and it has always been an amazing lens for just about anything (Except extremely wide shots of the venue etc).
