I can't say enough great things about it
This lens is everything it has been claimed to be, including HEAVY! The HEAVY, I will deal with as it also provides stability. I can't say enough great things about it, and really look forward to using it for the rest of my life.

MOST DISAPPOINTED - VERY VERY POOR
How can a ￡600 Nikon lens be sold without a lens cap to protect the lens I have been a photographer for almost 40 years and every lens and camera I have every bought has a lens cap! MOST DISAPPOINTED - VERY VERY POOR.

Fast f/2.8 maximum aperture at 24m setting is ideal for available light shooting or Slow/Rear flash sync techniques

I Was Given This Lens With A D50
This lens is very awesome in its capabilities. Mine came with a Nikon D50 someone gave to me for free. It made the D50 a powerhouse in every type of photo I could take with it. I have no intentions of getting rid of this lens!
