Camera arrived in what seemed like refurbished condition when I paid for new

Camera arrived in what seemed like refurbished condition when I paid for new. Shutter has a huge delay that I can't seem to fix and the picture quality is poor. Very very disappointed with this camera and purchase.

Nikon Coolpix A300

The A300 has one big advantage over a smartphone camera-a zoom lens. It's not the longest you'll find in a pocketable camera, but it's certainly a solid option at this price point. And it has one of the better wireless transfer systems out there from an ease-of-use perspective-you can set it to beam...
Pros:
  • 8x zoom lens
  • Slim, pocketable design
  • SnapBridge for seamless wireless photo transfer
  • Very affordable
Cons:
  • Few manual control options
  • Low-res LCD
  • 720p video without autofocus
  • So-so image quality
  • Proprietary charging port

Nikon Coolpix A300 Review

The Nikon Coolpix A300 packs a long zoom lens into a slim, affordable camera with wireless connectivity, but its image and video quality disappoint. For most people, the smartphone has replaced the inexpensive point-and-shoot camera. If you're a more serious shutterbug, there are plenty of good options in the $300 and up range that offer palpable advantages over an iPhone or Galaxy, but what if you don't want to spend that much? The Coolpix A300 ($139.95) is one of Nikon's answers (it has an even less expensive model, the no-frills A10, for $89.95), and it has some features you wouldn't expect from a camera at this price, notably wireless file transfer. Its big advantage over a phone is an 8x zoom lens. Aside from that, its performance is uninspiring, and automatic operation sometimes fails to get the shot you want. Design The A300 ($199.99 at Amazon) is a slim shooter you can slide into a pocket with ease. It measures 2.3 by 3.8 by 0.8 inches (HWD) and weighs just 4.2 ounces with a card and battery installed. Nikon only sells it in silver. It's about the same size as the $160 Canon PowerShot Elph 190 IS (2.2 by 3.8 by 0.9 in...
Pros:
  • 8x zoom lens
  • Slim, pocketable design
  • SnapBridge for seamless wireless photo transfer
  • Very affordable
Cons:
  • Few manual control options
  • Low-res LCD
  • 720p video without autofocus
  • So-so image quality

"easy to use and great quality"

Extraordinary. Its high-gloss metallic finish comes in six colors, with chrome accents, a wave of metal body design, and 89mm (3.5 inches) touch panel that includes behind the glassy glory. The Nikon Coolpix A300 screen adds some weight 162g also.
Pros:
  • have a great quality and a flash
Cons:
  • but most of them at least have some control

LOVE THE NIKON SNAPBRIDGE APP!

While this is not my favorite point and shoot digital camera, this camera does have some really great features and with 20.1 megapixels it is one of the better options on the market in it's price range.
