I have not had the camera long enough to be completely sure but I am impressed.
I obtained this camera because of its small size and weight, its capability with a decent zoom and its ease of operation with the automatic settings. It also has 20 megapixels so enlargement of the images from it should be take considerable enlargement while retaining sharpness.

Will not recommend this product to anyone
Camera is in fine condition, I have not used it, no Instructions Very poor product introduction on NikonI have all Nikon products Lenses, Cameras All have come shipped with manuals

Curate's egg
The camera appears to work OK, but beware the "red" colour. My wife really hates the back, which is completely different colour from the front. Also, quite bizarrely, the accompanying manual had a cover which proclaimed it to be for the A300, but inside it was for a completely different (bridge)...

does not meet the expectation
this camera does no meet the expectation with such a decent camera. Many times photo by this camera are beyond expectation and away from a normal photo. This was not expected with a camera like Nikon and a decent online shop like amazon. I am having 11 cameras now and this one is the worst.

$136 wasted. $136 wasted
Took 6 pics. Put it aside for 5 months. Now after many attempts to charge this unit WILL NOT POWER UP. Bummer. This is, apparently, a common problem. No known fix! $136 wasted. $136 wasted.

Nikon COOLPIX A300 Compact Camera - Silver (26519)
The camera takes good picutres but is a little hard to us. I wish it came with better moer detailed instructions. I also tried to download instructions but got tha same instructions tha came with it.

Don't waste your money on this rubbish!
If you want to be a proud owner of this pathetic camera, then blow your money on it. Automode is a joke. You may get some decent photos after trying multiple times. At nights, the success rate of taking a good photo is even lower.

Quality even as a refurb
Taking on a long overseas trip and wanted something light, but with a good lense and decent zoom. Was refurbished and the body showed some signs. Have taken some shots here, but looking forward to using on the trip.
