Not really sure if it works all that great. I live in an apt, 1 floor and no more than 800sq ft. I have wifi and a few devices that are using the network at one time, so I figured I should buy this and try it out.
Home networking should be simple, right? Plug in your ISP's free wireless router and you ought to be good to go. But it isn't always that straightforward, and though we're frequently promised superfast speeds and best-ever wireless signals , a few niggling issues can still crop up from time to time.
* Requires user to manually switch WiFi networks when traveling from primary WiFi domain to "Range Extended" WiFi domain (and vice versa).

* Creates separate SSID broadcast WiFi domains; one for 2.4Ghz and another for 5Ghz frequencies
Regquired a call to NetGear tech support to properly set up the unit. After approx. 20 minute conversation with tech support unit was operating and performing as advertised.
The Netgear WN3500RP Universal Dual Band WiFi Range Extender is, without a doubt, the best computer product I've ever purchased. I am not a very technical person, but I was able to install it within 5 minutes, the installation was flawless, and the product worked perfectly.
The Netgear WiFi Extender now works great but we had trouble getting it set up. Not as easy as advertised. And, after it was set up it didn't work perfectly for a couple of days. Now it's doing the job well.

Only recently installed, instructions for installation not adequate but having installed similar devices it was easy. At this stages seems to work well throughout the house with all printers functioning wirelessly.
