Review: Netgear R6300
The transition from 802.11g to faster 802.11n Wi-Fi was among the most drawn-out upgrades in the history of technology. It was only officially ratified by the IEEE in 2009, but before that, we had years of unofficial "pre-n" and "draft-n" products released as manufacturers and consumers lost...

Netgear R6300 review
The R6300 is Netgear's first 802.11ac router and has quite dramatic styling, looking like a glossy black slab on its side but it's also very large for a router. A white illuminated logo graces the centre, with three unobtrusive status lights along the bottom.

It is the world's second fastest router after Asus RT-AC66U , but it has same speed and functionality as asus . the negative point is that the router does not have external antenna or detachable antenna it has internal antenna.

- May be managed both via the web-interface and...
Cons:
- Absence of a time zone for Moscow
- Inability to switch NAT off
- Absence of encryption support for PPTP
- High price

Superb Router
The Netgear doesn't particularly look like an expensive piece of kit, but it's quiet sedate looks are more at home in your lounge. I upgraded from the WNDR3700, which was a very good router. In every respect the R6300 is better.

Review: Netgear R6300 Router
$200 isn't cheap as far as routers ago. But if you must have the latest and greatest support for wireless protocols as well as a requirement for range, the R6300 is hard to beat. The only downsides we'd point a finger at currently are lack of AC hardware (not the router's fault, really) and limited...

Bricked after 4 months
Like many, I bought this router because I thought high price meant the best router. And it did seem like that at first. I was getting 260 Mbps wireless as opposed to only 80 Mbps on an 18 month old N router. Unfortunately I soon discovered other issues with it.

Netgear R6300 review
The Netgear R6300 AC1750 dual band gigabit 802.11ac router was initially released way back in September 2012. It's as big a name as it is a huge router. At the time, we were reeling from the disappointing 802.11ac showing of the Buffalo AirStation 1750 gigabit dual band router, aka the Buffalo...
