Works for me
First, let me say this. I used a sliderule when I went to college. After some experimentation, it became clear that my old Cisco router had died a premature death. And I hoped to find a router that would provide better coverage to all areas of my three story condo and hopefully be faster.
Pros:
- easy to set up
Cons:
- so far none

Netgear R6300 802.11ac Dual Band Gigabit Router review
The Netgear R6300 802.11ac Dual Band Gigabit Router is a genuinely exciting router. It has claimed wireless speeds of up to 450Mbit/s on the 2.4GHz band and up to an incredible 1300Mbit/s on the 5GHz band.

World's Fastest router.....
It is the world's second fastest router after Asus RT-AC66U , but it has same speed and functionality as asus . the negative point is that the router does not have external antenna or detachable antenna it has internal antenna.

Superb Router
The Netgear doesn't particularly look like an expensive piece of kit, but it's quiet sedate looks are more at home in your lounge. I upgraded from the WNDR3700, which was a very good router. In every respect the R6300 is better.

Great features for home or small business
Easy to get setup for quick access and basic use. Takes a bit more time to configure all the extra bells and whistles but there are some nice feature to use such as parental controls, whitelist and blacklist for url addresses, map of devices on your network, etc...

Wireless signal drops off very quickly as you get farther ...
Wireless signal drops off very quickly as you get farther away from the router. Not impressed at all with the performance. Wireless speed also seems to deteriorate over time, requiring frequent reboots to resolve.

Amazing but pricey
I can't believe I have been using a gateway. This thing is amazing. It's beaming technology that locks on signal for higher range works! I get a signal in our garage 50 feet from the house. 75 feet from the router trough 2 concrete walls.
