When I was recently in the market for a Gigabit switch, I was unable to justify the price of a managed switch from the likes of Dell or Cisco. This switch is nothing fancy, just a name brand 5 port Gigabit switch.

this is a very good buy and very easy to install mine works 2 pc's one xbox and my bt vision box with great ease just plugged it into one of my homehub ethernet ports and plugged all my other cat5 cables into it very impressed!!

I liked this switch so much, I bought two of them. Netgear have a reputation for cheap and reliable networking equipment, and this 5 port unmanaged switch is no exception. The product was put to network a few home computers with Gigabit interface. The spped of LAN has improved (2-3 times compared to FastEthernet). However, this product has huge problems with understanding traffic from Internet (from modem and router).

Found the purchase price of the product very good and easy hook up. Much better than the older model I had. I recommend this to other buyers.

This item is a snap to set up. Plugged it into my network and I was able to see all of my devices. I like that it has Gigabit capability. It is a lot faster than the 10MB switch this replaced!

What can I say, It's a gigabit switch and it works, plug in all the cables and away you go. Transfer speeds are pretty good. great for streaming as my old 100mb/s couldn't hack it as video was always stopping for some reason... great buy and quick delivery from amazon as usual

Purchased this to replace my 5 Port 10/100 switch. It is a plug and play switch so there is no configuration needed.

This is an excellent modern looking wireless router. It was easy to set up and works on both Mac and PC!! I highly recommend it.
