very good
pluged in to my virgin boardband and it just works I use a 5 port and 8 port netgear switches

Netgear GS605 v2 Failed after 3 Years
My Netgear GS605 v2 worked well for a little over three years. Then I suddenly noticed problems streaming music and video from the NAS which connects to my home network using this switch.
Pros:
- Inexpensive
- worked well for 3 years
Cons:
- Failed after 3 years
- Did not stop working completely, just vastly degraded throughput, making it harder to identify it as the source of network issues

Doesn't maintain gig speeds
Purchased 3 of these and one of the 8 port and they all did the same thing. They work fine for a few days running everything at gig speeds. Then they drop to 10mbps for no reason. On some of the units a power cycle would correct the issue for a few days but then it happens again.

Works like a charm
Figured I'd spend the extra [$] for the gigabit switch.

Dell is shipping V3 of this switch
GS605 V3 has jumbo frames. This is a great deal for a fast and cheap switch.

Easy to use, flawless execution
I really don't get the low ratings this is receiving...I use this in my living room to feed my PS3, a DVR and then to another switch to feed two DVR's and a computer. I just plugged in the wires, powered it up and everything was online and fast.

Excellent router and easy to install!!
This is an excellent modern looking wireless router. It was easy to set up and works on both Mac and PC!! I highly recommend it.

Great Switch
Purchased this to replace my 5 Port 10/100 switch. It is a plug and play switch so there is no configuration needed.

Works as it should
What can I say, It's a gigabit switch and it works, plug in all the cables and away you go. Transfer speeds are pretty good. great for streaming as my old 100mb/s couldn't hack it as video was always stopping for some reason... great buy and quick delivery from amazon as usual

Good value for your $$
This item is a snap to set up. Plugged it into my network and I was able to see all of my devices. I like that it has Gigabit capability. It is a lot faster than the 10MB switch this replaced!
