Bought this to replace a string of flaky ISP modem/routers. Plug and play didn't work with EE – had to manually configure it. Parental Controls don't work. Genie apps are buggy on iOS and macOS. There is no way of denying WAN traffic to a device without also blocking LAN traffic.

Great piece of kit....
Bought this 2 weeks ago to replace my Sky sr102 fibre router and couldn't be happier. It has lots of features that you can view and change on the Netgear genie app. To cut a long story short it makes the sky router look like a play toy.

This is fantastic, so easy to use and set up, plus lots of extras, Great range and have never had a reliability problem with this unlike a previous companys one I had. Netgear?D6000 AC750 Dual Band Gigabit Modem Router
Pros:
- Much faster than Our older router
- and has a handy iPhone/android app to monitor the network
Cons:
- Dual band actually means two separate networks (where I was expecting the router to switch automatically between networks in the same way as 3G and 4G mobile networks) Also
- when I turned off the router at the power
- it lost all of my internet and password settings
- and had to be re-entered
- which...

Great router modem
This is a great product that just works very well. The 2 usb ports make it great for file storage and sharing via a usb drive and this will also work with sky fibre broadband as well (although please google this topic as its not as easy as plug and play there are a few settings that need to be...

Netgear D6400 AC1600 review
With both reasonable performance and pricing, the D6400 certainly isn’t a router for speed freaks who expect to be transferring hundreds of gigabytes of files across to a NAS wirelessly on a regular basis, but it works well as a relatively affordable entry-level 802.11ac DSL router.

Netgear D6400 AC1600 review
One of the less expensive 802.11ac routers, but hardly cheap at £125, the D6400 can't match the best for speed. But is it still worth buying? Find out in our Netgear D6400 AC1600 review

Netgear D6400 review
The upright-standing Netgear D6400 is nice and inconspicuous for an 802.11ac router. Its small footprint will make it easy to hide away out of sight and its glossy finish is actually quite attractive, although it does prove a dust and fingerprint magnet.

D6300
Essentially this could have been a very good modem/router the features are great, lan & wan speeds are great as well specially if you have an AC adapter. Where this unit really fails is range! The range is terrible, with my old Belkin N1 vision I had 3x the range in "N" !
Pros:
- speed
- ease of use
- great features
Cons:
- seriously lacking range
