Work great! Disappointed they don't work through a window because of glare. Was afraid to put them outside due our severe winters. But so far impressed how well they are working.
The Netgear Arlo Pro 2 is being marketed as the next level 1080p HD security camera with total flexibility. Judging by the features alone, it certainly raises the bar for security cameras.
Sharper detail means better monitoring and tracking, so the Arlo Pro 2 features 1080p HD quality video for you to record and watch. With 2-Way audio, you can also listen in and talk back through the camera from your smartphone.
The Pro 2 boasts sound and advanced motion detection, with instant notifications sent to your smartphone or email. It's possible to highlight areas in your camera’s view where you want to receive motion and sound alerts. This is available when the camera is plugged in and used indoors.
Something else you can use when the camera is plugged in and used indoors is the 3-second Look Back feature. It captures activity 3 seconds before a triggered event so you’ll always know what happened, from start to finish.
Netgear's Arlo Pro 2 is IP65-certified to withstand rain, heat or cold. Meanwhile, Night Vision turns on automatically in low light so you can see clearly in the dark.
The camera can be powered by a long-lasting rechargeable battery for a wire-free option. Or, when indoors, plug it in to a power outlet to access advanced features.
You can keep a rolling 7 days of motion and sound-triggered recordings in the cloud for free, or hook up a USB drive to the Arlo Pro 2 base station for optional local backup storage.

Superb video quality; night and day; Wireless; Waterproof; Built-in siren; 7 days cloud storage for free
Not as accurate as some; Competitors offer more features
I cannot fault this product. Being wireless it is easy for us to move the camera whenever wherever, and the video quality is superb. Now I can monitor our house remotely :)
Editor’s note: Arlo has announced its new Pro 3 security camera. The Arlo Pro 3 includes HDR and a 160-degree field of view. It will start at $500 for two cameras. Our review of the new hardware is in progress. The Arlo Pro 2 may be more of a refinement than a reinvention of the original, but it remains one of the best smart home security systems money can buy. While a wave of low cost, standalone smart cameras — like the $20 Wyzecam — have sprouted up, Arlo has forged ahead at the high end of the market, targeting serious home security DIY-ers and small business owners. As such, the Arlo Pro 2 is available in two or four-camera bundles, priced at $480 and $800, respectively. As Arlo explained to Digital Trends, Arlo Pro customers simply weren’t buying single-camera packages, so the company did away with that option for the Arlo Pro 2. However, add-on cameras can be purchased individually, and they are backward compatible with the original Arlo Pro. Yes, $480 sounds like a high cost of...
Advanced scheduling and geofencing controls; 7 days of free cloud storage; Optional local backup via USB; Backward compatible with Arlo Pro; Scalable multi-camera plans for businesses;
App interface a little convoluted;
The 4K Arlo Ultra may be grabbing the headlines for its best-in-class image quality, but the wireless indoor/outdoor Arlo Pro 2 offers many of the same benefits for less money thanks to its 1080p resolution.
Easy to set up and install; Excellent control over recording; Cameras work with new Ultra Base Station
No activity zones unless powered
Pro: Easy to set up, good camera quality and options for sensitivity, good range, rechargeable batteries, 2 options for mounting include more hidden strong magnets or stems that stick out more. 7 days of cloud storage for free and recordings are easily managed to delete or save.
A great performer when used indoors with a subscription, but overly pricey for that scenario
Wireless; weatherproof; good video quality; intuitive app
Many features not available when used wirelessly; expensive; Many features not available when used wirelessly; expensive
Mobile app failed to "discover" the base station so never got as far as connecting the cameras. After an hour of trying gave up and returned for a refund.
If you want multiple security cameras in and our of the home then the Arlo Pro 2 system is seriously good quality in all ways.
This is not a 24/7 recording system . You can live view after the motion is triggered but thats what you want . Very easy to set up and install once you down load the app . This only works on Android an apple tabs and phones . Not on your TV !!! Like the systems of old .
