Microsoft Surface Pro 3 review - Can a tablet replace your laptop?
Now in it's third iteration, Microsoft is finally confident enough to say the Surface Pro is a worthy replacement for both your laptop and tablet. When announcing the Pro 3 Microsoft was quick to say it's a better option than buying an iPad and a MacBook Air - a bold claim, but one which the company...- Great design and build quality
- Gorgeous screen
- Fast and powerful
- Windows 8 app selection still small
- Type Cover is expensive and trackpad is poor
- Lack of ports

The Surface Pro 3, Microsoft's third hybrid tablet/laptop, brings with it several changes. The most noticeable upgrade is the display size. At 12 inches, it is 1.4 inches larger than its predecessor and sports a 2160x1440 resolution.- 3:2 aspect ratio offers plenty of screen real estate
- Generally smooth and quick performance
- Thin and lightweight when compared to laptops

Surface Pro 3 - Is it really the tablet that can replace your laptop?
Follow @CyberShack The Surface Pro 3 has been one of my most anticipated devices of the year. While the Surface Pro and Surface Pro 2 had a lot of potential, there were a few issues that couldn't be overlooked.- Best example of a hybrid so far
- Included Surface Pen is great
- Display is stunning
- Expensive for a tablet
- TypeCover not included
- Trackpad is average
- Windows needs better touch optimisation
Surface Pro 3 review
Since Microsoft unveiled its first Surface Pro in 2012, it has been trying to push the line of devices to business users as the ultimate "all in one" machine. Specifically the firm claims that, when paired with a keyboard cover, the Surface Pro will be able to function equally well as both a tablet...- Clear display
- good performance
- wealth of productivity services
- good battery life
- Expensive by tablet standards
- Type Cover costs an extra £110
- stylus can lag
The basics Microsoft claims the Surface Pro 3 is "the tablet that can replace your laptop". With a 12-inch screen, it's certainly big enough to back up that boast. But what are its other selling points? And it can it succeed where past Microsoft slates have failed? Let's take a look.
- Given its size, you might expect the Surface Pro 3 to be a hulking beast of a machine, but it's actually surprisingly light
- The Surface Pro 2 had a 10.6-inch screen and weighed 907g, whereas the 12-inch Pro 3 somehow manages to tip the scales at 800g.
- It might be light, but 12 inches is still pretty large, so it's not all that portable
- You're going to notice it in your bag
- The MacBook Air is still slimmer and lighter, especially when you add the Pro 3's cover.
will replace your laptop and Tablet....
this is the next generation of laptop and means you can do away with your tablet. super fast, responsive to touch with no lag. only disappointment is that the keyboard is not included which at that price you would expect so budget for an additional 100 if you do want this to be a laptop or else it...
Microsoft Surface Pro 4
The Microsoft Surface line of tablets has been fairly divisive; for every evangelist there are plenty of skeptics who doubt the device can truly replace a laptop. Microsoft is forging on with the fourth iteration regardless, building the Surface Pro 4 ($1,299 as tested) on the strongest points of...- Sharp, vibrant touch display
- Full-friction, adjustable kickstand
- Improved Surface Pen and Type Cover from the previous iteration
- Strong battery life in testing
- Pricey
- Type Cover sold separately
- Still only one USB port
