This review might carry an overly pessimistic tone which belies the worth of this system. Any of the above issues aren't uncommon in this price bracket, and there are far worse 2.1 systems available for the same money.

The sound on these speakers underwhelm me. I thought with the sub woofer and 40 watts the sound would be comparable or better than a set of speakers that came standard with the computer from many years ago. I have turned to bass to almost the deepest setting and it sounds hollow and tinny.
I bought these for my daughter's PC. I really like Logitech hardware (I'm using their keyboards, mice, controllers like joystickes, gamepads and steering wheel) so I was expecting something that would sound as good as (or better than) the Creative speakers I have hooked up to my own PC.
Attractive; Easy setup
Bass way to loud; combination missing a whole spectrum of frequencies; satellites sound like cheap dollar store speakers
Good looking set of 2.1 PC speaker with multiple inputs and nice design but the Logitech Z523's mediocre sound does not justify its price tag.
I have a set of klipsch speakers for my computer they aren't them. I know I would have spent $50 more for them, just for [$] expected more. They sound good but im picky. I wouldn't say buy them or not to, I would go to a store that has them set up and check them with others.
Compact Design; Easy To Use; Look good
I like the audio overall. The speakers are pretty good with mid and higher range notes and very loud when you want them to be. The subwoofer is okay. I sort of expected more out of it. It has a hard time playing lower bass notes.
If u prefer to listen hiphop or club music. BUY However, if you like classic, jazz, vocal.....DO NOT BUY.
resonable price; powerfull base
A treble is a big issue
best $70 I ever spend on a speaker.
set up in minutes; sound quality is exceptional
None so far
Harnessing the power of deep bass, without spoiling the sound with distortion has always been one of Logitech's strengths-in its more expensive speaker sets, that is. In the company's lower-priced options, however, like the $99.99 (direct) Z523 2.1 PC speaker system, a common problem emerges: It's...
Multi-directional speakers fill a room with sound; Three inputs; Powerful subwoofer; Adjustable bass level
Speakers can sound a bit too bright, and occasionally tinny; Cables are hard-wired, can't be replaced without repair; No remote control
deep bass (kind of) 1.)No treble adjustment on the speakers2.)The bass is to more than powering.three.)The bass is a mid variety frequency that interferes with vocals and high frequency sounds.four.)High frequency sound is not present and causes these speakers to sound muffled.
